[player_tooltip player_id='1045017' first='Leslie' last='Garcia'] comes into this Player Rankings Update as the most underrated prospect in the state moving into this Winter. I had the privilege of seeing Garcia this Fall a few different times and each game I was blown away. Her mixture of height, athletic ability near and away from the hoop, touch on the basketball, knowledge of the game, and ability to play inside-to-out stood out above almost everyone else on the floor. I understand Lincoln North Star is a program with a system that gets results but if Garcia doesn't see the Varsity floor this Winter, I'll be speechless. That's how much potential she has and how high her ceiling really is.

[player_tooltip player_id='1092023' first='Ashlyn' last='Hess'] of Kenesaw High School might not be a name you are too aware of just yet but that is about to change. Hess is a prospect that comes in right around 5'2 and she has a quick trigger from deep, that is pretty accurate. More accurate than most, who are letting it go at that high of and that quick of a rate. I'm expecting some big numbers and a big Sophomore season ahead of someone like this. She will be more skilled than most at her position within her conference so as long as her team plays some good basketball, they are going to have success.

Northwest High School has a productive underclassmen in CG - [player_tooltip player_id='1060158' first='Emersyn' last='Graves']. Graves is a multiple sport athlete, that understands what it means to sacrifice to find success. On an every day occurrence, this is someone that leads by example in all facets. Doesn't matter if it's in a game, practice, a scrimmage, or in conditioning. She seems always mentally locked in and ready for the next play to take place. I'm not sure what Northwest roster looks like but I'm sure Graves is one of their better overall prospects on it. If that is the case, she should be able to show off what she can do this Winter. If not, that's all good and she will continue to grind to become the best version of herself so when she is called upon, she is ready to ride.

[player_tooltip player_id='1055317' first='Jakiah' last='McCoy'] showed glimpses last Winter that she was going to be Cedar Bluffs' Power Forward for years to come. McCoy competes with tenacity and some real physical play. Whenever she has taken the court in front of me, she has put up respectable numbers together with the time she is given. Over the next three seasons the steady progression of McCoy will be the key to her future. If she can lock in a few different counter moves off her post work and she continues to work on her fundamental base with things, she is going to see strides in her game before her know it. Maybe even taking her to the next level to some extent, if she so desires.

Grand Island High School is program with a ton of prospects on roster and that is not a bad thing. It seems that they have really full teams in all grade levels and that is not something you can say for all high schools throughout Nebraska. One of Grand Island's younger stars is 5'11 Small Forward - [player_tooltip player_id='1092016' first='Lilly' last='Goodwin']. Goodwin will take the court again this Winter with some revenge on her mind. She will be looking to get Varsity minutes, making a lasting impact for years to come. Like anyone else, if she is put in favorable positions and she gets opportunities, she could thrive but we will just have to see how it all plays out.
