4 Decade Classic- Top Upperclassmen

Now that we have covered the young ins who caught my eye now, we're turning our heads to the juniors and seniors who shined bright this past weekend at Butler High School! These players will have no problem taking their game to the next level.    Outstanding footwork, fantastic at taking the rock to the rim, and the ability to generate plays with or without the ball. Whatever she does on the court, she is just fluid and has poise. I recognized how well she moves without the ball, gets open, and will score off of screens and hard cuts through the paint. She's a natural leader. Excellent length and hands, capable of intercepting to force errors, playing the passing lanes, and defending.     She knows when to push the ball down the floor, when she gets a stop on defense, she sees her open teammate down the floor to score. She's so good in transition plays. With her length she makes it look easy getting inside the paint and scoring at the rim, she has a nice drop step in the paint and can kick it out for an outside shot.     She's so sneaky when she sees where the next pass is going, she gets in the way of the passing lanes and takes away that next pass... you don't even see her coming. She will have her body ready to shoot the deep ball or make a smooth shot fake to fly past her defender to score. She has good length and reach, comes off screens to sink the shot. Her long legs and arms are a real weapon when it comes to rebounding the basketball.     From all around the arc, [player_tooltip player_id='874993' first='Ashley' last=''] makes threes with ease. When she has the ball in her hands, she is quite lethal. She can create space between herself and her defender to score, or she can lower her head and score at the rim. She can fire the rock from wherever since she moves effectively and can get open by making hard cuts through the defense.     She makes smart passes down the floor and good IQ. She searches for a teammate who is available and has the ability to shoot outside. Provides a good defense and communicates well with her teammates. When she drives to the rim, she makes it look easy as she scores through contact. She's a tough and resilient player who doesn't let up until the final buzzer. Very strong with and without the ball.
