Rebounding is a “want to” aspect of basketball. Every athlete wants to score, but not all basketball players want to rebound. That is why I love featuring athletes willing to clean the glass.

Here is a look at five juniors, including two unranked prospects reaching high and digging deep to average double-digit rebound totals early in this prep season.

[player_tooltip player_id='544027' first='Avery' last='Scott'], 6'0”, C, Stanton County, ‘26

Scott is a six-foot center cleaning the boards for the Trojans. Through two games she is averaging a double-double grabbing 14.5 rebounds per game and scoring 17.5 points per contest. Those numbers already project to be higher than her sophomore totals of 15.4 points and 13.1 rebounds over 21 games. Scott is ranked No. 76 overall by Prep Girls Hoops.

[player_tooltip player_id='881162' first='Olivia' last='Stein'], 6'0”, PF, Ingalls, ‘26

Stein is a multiple-sport prospect who has already verbally committed to play volleyball for Wichita State University. The fact that she has committed to play collegiate volleyball won't stop her from dominating in the paint for the Bulldogs. In Ingalls' first two games of the season, she has finished with double-doubles. She is grabbing 13.5 rebounds and scoring 14 points per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1223790' first='Valentina' last='Hart'], 5'10”, PF, Wichita South, ‘26

Hart is a physical forward for Wichita South. She eats up space in the paint and is grabbing 11 rebounds per contest after two games. She is off to a slow start putting the biscuit in the basket, but she is not shooting the ball much early, In two games she has taken just 13 shots from the field and six free-throw attempts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1108440' first='Khloe' last='Reimer'], 5'7”, SF, Thunder Ridge, ‘26

Reimer is a quick and versatile athlete. She can play either guard position or small forward on the basketball court, and she can play setter and defensive specialist on the volleyball court. After two games she is grabbing 10 rebounds per contest and has scored 7.5 points per game. She has stepped up work on the glass as she averaged just 2.8 rebounds in 19 games as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='621241' first='Paityn' last='Fritz'], 6'2”, C, Salina South, ‘26

Fritz is currently ranked No. 3 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. In two games for the Cougars, she has averaged a double-double grabbing 10 rebounds and scoring 16 points per game. As a sophomore, Fritz scored 13.5 points and grabbed 8.7 rebounds per contest.
