Grafton vs Central Cass – Game Notes

Her skill level is elite for an 8th grader. She hit multiple 3 point shots off of the ball screen, with one being a huge shot towards the end of regulation. She has a great change of speed with the ball and is able to make difficult shots. She had two impressive moves - a spin finish into a one foot fade-away, and a step back contested shot going to her left. She came in off of the bench and had some valuable minutes. She had two great middle drives; one resulting in a nice floater and another drawing a foul and getting to the free throw line. She did every 'little thing' for her team. She played extremely hard, ran the floor with conviction, and made big time plays. She is a true workhorse and someone I would love to have on my team. She had good post entry passes and chased down multiple long rebounds. She made many deep threes against Central Cass, not shying away from shooting and making at critical moments. I also liked how she was able to make decisions on her drives. She used her frame to seal deep by the basket for many easy layups. She also did a really good job of drawing fouls, getting to the free throw line routinely throughout the evening. She had her hands ready for dump off passes and also used her body well to get in good rebounding position.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was an exciting game and one of the better matchups I have watched so far this season.
