Lady Bobcats' Building Season: Key Players to Watch

They are in the process of laying a solid foundation , which in turn will lay the groundwork for something better to come. Last year, they finished third in their district. Though this season they have come out slow, it doesn't mean they won't or can't bounce back. They've had some tough early opponents to compete against as they prepare for district play.   Led by Coach Christopher, he has a young group who are finding their footing in a tough district.These girls are some tough competitors that can compete. They bring a balanced attack into play, where they can stretch the floor, get to the rim, and utilize the inside to get buckets. Their defense is solid and they are in the midst of forming a solid defensive attack that will enable them to neutralize their opposition. Like I mentioned earlier, they may have come out the gates slowly this season, but that doesn't define who they are or what they will become.   Check out the players who will be representing the Lady Bobcats this season.    Confident sharpshooter who will let it rip from the arc. This kid is poise with the ball in her hands. She shoots a high percentage from 3, but can also put it on the floor and finish at the rim. She will be looked upon to do some of the heavy lifting for her squad this season by putting the ball in the hoop. She's a solid two way player whose game is steadily growing. Keep your eyes on this young lady.     Solid kid who is a force on the interior. Jaylen hold her own in the painted area. Defensively, she is always in the right position to deny the entry pass into the post. Great in helpside, she's ready to block anything that comes down low. Offensive, she works well from block to block. Sprinkle in her ability to knock down both elbow and short corner shots, you get a solid interior ball player in this young lady. Look for her to continue to grow and become a formidable force on the inside.     Solid wing player who contributes in all facets of the game. She's gritty, getting after it on each and every possession. She can knock down shots from all 3 levels, contribute on the boards, block shots, and apply pressure which equates to steal opportunities. This young lady is an all around contributor that packs a powerful punch. Look for her to continue to grow and be a solid piece for the Lady Bobcats program.     Gearing up for her last right, this kid is going to leave it all out on the court every single night. Plays with active hands and feet on the defensive end, she gets steals and deflections by the boatload. Can score it from multiple spots on the floor, she contributes not only in scoring the basketball, but using her court awareness to find the hot hand. She is an exceptional leader and one that will be a big time contributor to this ball club this season.
