ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Robertson Cardinals advance to 5-0 after getting a non-conference road win Tuesday night at Hope Christian.

Robertson jumped out to an early 19-11 lead but then went ice cold. After only putting up four points -- with none coming in the final three minutes of the second quarter -- Robertson was down 31-23 at the half. In the second half, the Cardinals turned up the intensity on defense and made a valiant effort to establish a presence in the lane. This resulted in relief points and trips to the foul line. On top of that, it opened the door for opportunities at kick-out three-pointers.

The Cardinals, who trailed 42-37 after three quarters, outscored the Huskies 16-3 to complete the comeback. What's more, the Cardinals held the Huskies scoreless for over six minutes during the final period. At the 1:37 mark, Hope Christian got a dive cut layup -- their first points of the quarter and only made field-goal.

[player_tooltip player_id='814481' first='Natalia' last='Martinez'] posted a game-high 20 points and was red-hot in catch and shoot situations. The senior guard finished with six three-pointers made, connecting thrice in each half. Prior to that, Martinez had six treys through the first four games. Martinez has a balanced jumper, gets good lift and has DEEP range. Additionally, Martinez capitalized on the soft zone played by the Huskies, relocating out on the perimeter to generate open looks.

Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='968109' first='Arianna' last='Martinez'] totaled 13 points, giving the 5'4" guard her fourth outing of the season in double-digits. Martinez was hard to contain off the bounce. Depending on what the defense gave her, Martinez was able to get all the way to the cup or hit the 3ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='814473' first='Alyxa' last='King-Greenwalt'] had a quiet 6 points but her activity defensively and on the glass was outstanding. King-Greenwalt did a good job of using her length to alter shots in the interior. Moreover the senior came away with several rebounds to either extended possessions or secure the stop.

As for Hope Christian, they were led by [player_tooltip player_id='839433' first='Bri' last='Bishop'], the only player to reach double-figures for the Huskies. The sophomore went on to have a team-high 11 points and did most of her damage from within 12-feet. The six-foot forward is a high-energy player that moves well without the ball and runs the floor well. Bishop entered the matchup averaging a Double-Double with 19.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 5.3 steals!
