<p>The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award is given to one student-athlete among many deserving candidates who demonstrates excellence during a week of their team's competition. The winner contributes to their team's success in multiple statistical categories to help her team compete to their best potential. Several players were deserving of recognition, but only one can be selected for Player of the Week. Those nominated and not chosen as Player of the Week receive recognition as Player of the Week Honorable Mention. Here are the girls who had a magnificent third week of the season and it's time to celebrate their accomplishments!</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Anna is the frontrunner for Miss Basketball after three weeks and earned recognition as Michigan's Dec. 15th-21st Player of the Week by setting four career school records during a 73-47 victory against G.R. Catholic Central. Anna won the Cornerstone Holiday Tourney MVP Award, scoring 25 points, making 8 of 13 attempts, and 5 of 6 free throws. She shot 50% from beyond the arc with 4 triples, dished 2 assists, and added 3 steals. Anna became Rockford girls basketball's career leader in points (1,086), assists (212), steals (151), and free throws made (266). Anna ended the week with 40 points, 7 rebounds 5 steals, 5 assists, and 7 3s. The Rams defeated Caledonia and finished the week with a perfect 2-0 team record. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Jozelynn had an outstanding week for Freeland, with possibly the most dominant display of shooting efficiency of the season. Jozelynn scored 39 points during a 76-22 win against Garber. She scored the first 11 points, with 32 by halftime. Jozelynn buried 8 of 10 three-point attempts and 6 of 7 2pt field goals (82.3%). Her final stat line was 39 points, 4 steals, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Against Heritage, Jozelynn scored 13 points with 4 assists, shooting 62.5% from the floor. She shot an absurd 76.9% from 3 and 72.4% during a memorable week and is the Falcons next big-time prospect.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Aubrey caught fire from beyond the arc during a 56-35 win against Calumet last week. Aubrey buried 6 triples and finished the game with a new career-high 30 points. She added 11 points and 3 steals during a 41-18 win against Ishpeming Westwood as the Miners are 6-0 to start the season. Aubrey leads the team with her dynamic scoring abilities, aggressive defense, and confident ball-handling. The Miners are a scrappy top-15 D2 team and will face undefeated D4 #7 Ewen-Trout Creek on December 28th at the Irontown Holiday Bash.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Aubree set a new school record with 40 points against Union City on Dec. 13th and then reached the 1,000-point summit during a 64-60 overtime victory against Reading last week. Aubree buried four triples, scored acrobatic layups around the basket, and finished with a team-high 32 points. Bronson is 4-0 and will face #9 Concord on January 3rd.</p>
