[player_tooltip player_id='1117631' first='Amirahs' last='Hayes'] was one cool customer on the basketball court and showed lots of athleticism and fluidity. Hayes a nice and smooth jumper and once she got the long ball to go, it was a done deal. Her ability to rip or drive into a midrange shot was exceptional. Even more impressive was her efficiency in the midrange. Hayes was very polished with the handles and passing ability. Her intangibles were equally impressive. She has a high basketball IQ and plays with great instincts and anticipation. Hayes communicated well and showed great leadership on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='514544' first='Narissa' last='Blocton'] was a ball of energy and was getting to the rim at a consistent rate. Blocton has the ability to score in a variety of ways. She converted on several fast breaks and a few shots in the paint. The Junior guard has good length, speed, and athleticism, and can finish against the “trees” down low. Blocton knows how to draw contact and get to the foul line. She has learned to utilize the free-throw line to score. The Junior guard is averaging 18.6 points per game and has attempted nearly 40 free-throws in just 8 games. Blocton is a very good on-ball defender and she uses her length and agility to get a lot of steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='387293' first='Jariyah' last='Jordan'] was very impressive at the Battle on the Island tournament. The forward was on the boards, on defense, and in the transition game. No surprises- she routinely delivers a double double (9.9 averages on rebounds and points). Her athleticism and ability to run the floor like a guard were impressive. Jordan was also committed on the defensive end playing solid man to man defense and helpside defense as well. A few times she caused a turnover on the helpside. She was also quick enough to switch on picks and cover a guard out on the perimeter. Jordan had a lot of tools and definitely impacts the game in a lot of ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='743436' first='Kayla' last='Debrow'] is one of the top under the radar players in North Florida. Debrow has already reached the 1000 point plateau and came into the season 228 rebounds shy of 1000. Her presence was felt at the Battle on the Island. In one quarter of play she had rejected a few shots, grabbed a few rebounds, and scored on a beautiful left handed shot in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='1117355' first='Bella' last='Brown'] shows a lot of potential on the basketball court. Her ball IQ and ability to anticipate immediately caught my attention. She handles the ball well, can lead the break, and always has her head up looking to get the ball to a teammate for the score. The Freshman had a few passes that showcased her skillset. Brown also showcased a nice outside shot from the perimeter. She will be a player to watch throughout this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1117633' first='Jamya' last='Davis'] really showed a lot of ability on the basketball court. She runs the floor extremely well and can get you a bucket in the paint. Davis plays fills the lanes and really plays well in the transition game. Davis also did a good job of attacking the glass. She even had a few nice put-backs after securing the offensive rebound. With the offensive firepower on her team, Davis does a good job playing her role. She impacts the game in many ways and is an important piece of her team's success.
