[player_tooltip player_id='822701' first='Alyce' last='Dorman'], 5'8 G - Mount Mansfield Union H.S.

Everyone talks about how the PG is a lost art these days, but Aly keeps the tradition alive. Dorman is that fundamental organizer who controls the tempo, reads defenses and dissects. Her passing is timely and adaptable, ready to hit backdoors or cutters into unforeseen gaps. And she's a sound driver, finishing well around the rim yet ready to drop a dime too. Defensively, Aly is measured and reliable yet will hawk ballhandlers out of MMU's various pressure defenses. That reliable two-way guard who will run the show or play the 2, whatever is needed.

Harper Guthiem, 5'10 W - Burlington H.S.

The versatile wing comes with a range of tools at her disposal. Her movement around the paint creates plenty of open looks vs zones, in addition to nice cutting vs man defenses. With that said, her shooting off the catch is efficient and her passing to keep the defense bending lends itself to offensive opportunities. Better yet, her defensive ability makes her that swing wing-forward who guards 2-4, rotates well, rebounds, and runs in the open floor. A dynamic player with her size and wit.

Mya Lumsden, 5'8 G - Hazen Union H.S.

A pesky guard who seems to enjoy the big moment, Lumsden brings two-way toughness to the guard slot. She's a rangy defender who picks up fullcourt while understanding nice rotations out of double teams or chasedown steals, causing problems 84x50. Moreover, her halfcourt D carries a similar sentiment; smart, reliable and pesky. Thus, transition opportunities arise often, and she's got the speed + touch to finish. Otherwise, she organizes the O, collapses the D with drives and hits open jumpers. Fun up and down player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1046837' first='Abby' last='Nystrom'], 5'7 G - Bellows Falls Union H.S.

Nystrom is the engine that drives Bellows Falls and she's bound to break out this year. While the competition level isn't on par with some of her peers here, Abby no less commands respect. Her anticipation and quickness forces turnovers and she finishes transition plays. Plus, in the offensive halfcourt, she's the catalyst. A creator with her handle that shakes defenders, passing vision and scoring touch, Abby spreads the wealth while also making it known defenses have to gameplan for her bucket-getting from each level.

Colleen Sonnick, 5'11 W/F - Essex H.S.

I'm excited to see how Colleen steps into a larger role this year. She'll be relied upon for her ability to pull forwards out to the perimeter and put the ball in the bucket, using her pull-up jumper in the mid-range to counter her solid scoring off the dribble drive. In addition, I foresee her making plays for others more often as defense's help and teammates cut into gaps. Defensively, Colleen holds it down 3-5, is a bull around the glass, and does not hesitate to put the ball on the floor and push the break. A southpaw with her own style.

Emma Harrison, 5'7 G - BFA St. Albans Academy

I anticipate Harrison will step into a substantially larger role as two starting guards from last year have graduated. Emma brings a steady presence to the floor, gluing the offense together with sound movement, connective passing, and an unselfishness which permeates her game. Yet, she maintains an aggressiveness and shoots her shot, whether it's the open 3 or in the short-range. A similar presence defensively, Harrison is a smart team defender and will surely work ballhandlers fullcourt as BFA often does. Plenty of opportunity awaits Emma this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='813535' first='Alexis' last='Menard-O'Neil'], 5'9 G/W - Rice Memorial H.S.

It's likely Alexis gets a more time and touches this year for Rice. She's a dynamic wing who can guard multiple positions and use her length + agility to pressure the rock. Additionally, Menard-O'Neil has the potential to be a force in transition with that frame, defensive impact, solid handle and finishing. Offensively, she's someone who knits the offense together with her passing and movement; I'm excited to see how aggressive she is to create advantages and knock down shots after a summer with NY Havoc. Keep tabs.
