The 2025 Class is off to a strong start with an abundance of newcomers making a splash onto the 2025 rankings board. There is a lot to like about this pool of prospects. The game is evolving from the pros to the youth level and this class has a lot of the characteristics college and pro coaches are looking for: toughness, versatility, range, size, speed, and physicality. There's a lot of under the radar talent that college coaches can develop into high caliber players. This will be the first of a three part series highlighting some of the most intriguing prospects in the state that have caught my eye heading into conference play where things will start to level up. Let's dive right in.

[player_tooltip player_id='384503' first='Izzy' last='Wesley'], has picked up where she left off from last season torching opponents while reaching a historic milestone last month, scoring her 1,000th career point for Dalton. Wesley always makes the right pass, is an effective slasher that can get to the basket and can create space for herself for a mid range jumper. Thrives in the post backing down undersized guards and in pick and roll sets. Has good touch around the basket, loves to push the pace on the break and plays with great court vision dropping dimes to her teammates. Wesley will be heading to the Ivy League to play at Brown University.

Quinones has been on a tear this season for West Genesee. She plays with grit and toughness on the defensive end of the floor. Good rebounder that can take it coast to coast and can also drop dimes to teammates on the break. Is a natural scorer that can beat you in a lot of ways, has 3 20+ point games so far this season. Plays with confidence and makes teammates better, leads by example. Quick release on her shot and has limitless range. Will make an impact

Jimerson has made tremendous strides in her game to break into the rankings this cycle with a 6 point increase in her scoring average this season. Super quick first step and loves to push the pace in transition. Can sling it from the perimeter or cross you over and zip to the basket for an easy 2. Good basketball IQ and positioning, is an above average rebounder, and plays with a physical edge. Really looking for her to take her game to the next level heading into conference play.

Phelan is one of the top 3PT shooters in the state, and possesses fluid shot mechanics and has range to stretch the floor for her teammates. I've seen her splash NBA 3's during games with ease. Phelan is averaging 15PTS per game this season for Randolph. On the defensive end, she's a menace on defense, using her speed and athleticism to create havoc and turnovers into fastbreak points. On the offensive end, she is a potent catch and shoot option from anywhere on the floor with the ability to stretch the floor.
