FRESHMEN ON FIRE (Non-Public)

We're officially one month into the season and already so many Class of 2028 hoopers across the Garden State have shown tremendous promise and poise! Let's dive in and explore which players are making an immediate impact on their respective teams.   Edore Pela | Camden Catholic   Team Record: 3-1   Leading her team in points, assists and 3-pointers. She's currently averaging 15.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.8 apg and 1.8 spg.   [player_tooltip player_id='913907' first='Alexa' last='Racobaldo'] | Bishop Eustace   Team Record: 5-1   Leading the Crusaders in blocked shots and rebounds, third on the team in scoring. She's currently averaging 9.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg & 2.2 bpg. Bishop Eustace has already played four out-of-state opponents (3-1).   [player_tooltip player_id='1198653' first='Muffin' last='Bethea'] | OLMA   Team Record: 3-4   Second on the team in scoring and rebounds & currently averaging a near double-double at 12.4 ppg & 8.7 rpg.   Dani Daley | Wildwood Catholic   Team Record: 5-1   Leading the team in steals, second in scoring & assists and third in rebounds. Her all-court is seeing averages of 12.0 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.2 apg & 2.2 spg.   [player_tooltip player_id='981918' first='Hailey' last='Benbow'] | Rutgers Prep   Team Record: 6-1   Hailey was thrown into the gauntlet from Day 1 and has proved to be one of the two best freshmen in the state. Playing a juggernaut of a schedule in December (GSB, Archbishop Molloy, Montclair Immaculate, St. Rose, etc), she's been an important piece for the Argonauts. She's averaging 7.0 ppg, 4.4 rpg & 1.3 spg.   [player_tooltip player_id='1199493' first='Meghan' last='Mecke'] | Calvary Christian (Old Bridge)   Team Record: 3-1   Meghan has scored in double-figures in three of the first four games of the season, averaging 13.5 ppg (to go along with 3.3 rpg & 4.0 spg). She's leading the Lady Lions in points and 3-pointers.   [player_tooltip player_id='1199501' first='Gia' last='McArdle'] | Mount St. Dominic   Team Record: 3-2   Second on her team in scoring (7.5 ppg) and steals (2.0 spg), Gia has been very impactful thus far in her debut season for MSD. She's proven to be a reliable 3-point shooter as well as defensive presence.   [player_tooltip player_id='981887' first='Giovanna' last='Burress'] | DePaul   Team Record: 4-1   GiGi is leading a freshman heavy DePaul squad in points (17.8 ppg) and recorded two consecutive 20-point games at the Jay Maloney Holiday Jam Fest. She's also averaging 8.0 rpg & 3.0 spg and quickly emerging as one of the best freshmen in NJ.   *played in 4 of their 5 games   [player_tooltip player_id='995787' first='Breya' last='LeTennier'] | DePaul   Team Record: 4-1   In five games played for DePaul, Breya has made an immediate impact averaging 11.0 ppg, 2.8 rpg, & 3.4 apg, proving to be equal parts scorer and facilitator. She's also knocked down a team-best ten 3's.   [player_tooltip player_id='1198649' first='Maya' last='Morrison'] | DePaul   Team Record: 4-1   Maya leads her squad in rebounds (38 total / 7.6 pg) and steals (15 total / 3.0 pg) while ranking second in scoring (11.2 ppg) and assists (3.0 apg). She's establishing herself as an all-court threat with commitment to offense and defense.   [player_tooltip player_id='862966' first='Grace' last='Darling'] | Saddle River Day   Team Record: 3-2   The 5'10" guard has impressed early on against some really tough opponents! She caught fire against nationally ranked Morris Catholic, scoring a team-high 17 points in a valiant effort. She's scored in double-figures three times already and is averaging 12.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.0 apg & 2.0 spg for SRD.   [player_tooltip player_id='913941' first='Malaya' last='Jones'] | Oak Knoll   Team Record: 3-3   Malaya is currently third on the team in scoring at 6.5 ppg and doing a great job scoring the ball inside and out. She gives Oak Knoll a necessary spark!   [player_tooltip player_id='914273' first='Sienna' last='Golizio'] | Hun   Team Record: 12-2   In thirteen games played, Sienna has done a little bit of everything for the Raiders. Averaging 3.8 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.8 apg & 1.1 spg for a loaded Hun team, she has been ultra dependable thus far.   [player_tooltip player_id='981908' first='Meso' last='Nwobu'] | Hun   Team Record: 12-2   Meso may be one of the most coachable players in the entire freshman class, with tremendous upside! Averaging a cool 4.9 ppg, 1.5 rpg & 1.3 spg, she's making a great effort early on in her HS career. She's already seen a ton of different defenses from around the country (and beyond) against opponents from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia and Canada.   [player_tooltip player_id='981907' first='Jayla' last='Williams'] | Hun   Team Record: 12-2   Jayla has wasted no time getting acclimated, leading the team in rebounds (6.5 rpg) and blocks (1.0 bpg), while ranking second on the team in scoring at 10.0 ppg. The 5'11" Wing has proven versatile, with efficient scoring inside and out.   [player_tooltip player_id='913956' first='Dayonna' last='Doggett'] | Pennington   Team Record: 4-4   At 10.5 ppg, she helped Pennington notch wins over a pair of PA teams, (Hill & Academy of the New Church), Lawrenceville and Middletown South. Dayonna is just scratching the surface!   [player_tooltip player_id='1201472' first='Eden' last='Ashiavor'] | Pennington   Team Record: 4-4   Averaging double-figures in scoring at 10.0 ppg, the freshman Center has commanded the paint for Pennington. With multiple double-doubles already in her bag, the future is looking bright for the big!
