Future Stars: 2029 Women’s Basketball Talent

The 2029 Watch List dropped yesterday with some prospect names that are about to be on the high school scene or who are currently doing battle on the hardwood. In my opinion, the more the game is being played, marketed, and valued by people, we will see the women's game continue to thrive in our state. We have always had talent here, I just think now girls are going to start playing earlier, which in turn will have kids even more ready when they hit the high school ranks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Only time will tell how much impact a kid will have when they get older. There are so many factors that come to play in the development of a prospective student-athlete. To name a few let's say system, the culture they are going into, the kids who are in front of them, location, coaching, how they approach the game, their effort as to what they do when it's not basketball season, ect. So many things come to mind when thinking on how one develops and becomes a solid contributor in this game. In the 2029 class, though some have yet to hit the high school gym, will come in and contribute righ away. She can spot up onthe perimeter and unleash the rock with confidence from 3. She can utilize her tight handles and put it on the floor, finishing at the rim against contact. She will defend, contribute on the boards, and just flat out gets after it. The game is in her DNA and she is always working at her craft. She will be a very solid pick-up to the Lebanon Devilettes program. Jada can shoot the 3, put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim like a battery ram, be in position to get put backs from misses, and really just contribute on both ends of the floor. She is a solid kid who is learning and understanding the game. A heady ball player that once she gets it, she is going to be a true gem for her next prospective school. She is a hard worker who is always wanting to get better. She can use her tight handles to create space and shoot a mid-range jumper or launch it from downtown. She is a consistent scoring threat that possesses speed and will to get the job done. Her length creates havoc on the defensive end, where she gets steals and deflections by the boat load. She is the aggressor on D, getting steals, jumping passing lanes.
