Today, we're looking at some under-the-radar players in the 2026 and 2027 classes. I want to highlight a few kids with intriguing seasons in those classes, so we'll look at a handful of kids who fit that bill.

In a small sample size, Brown has been excellent. The DSHA guard/wing hasn't had to force anything. She's taking what defenses have given her and has been efficient when she gets aggressive on the offensive end of the floor. She uses her size to finish over smaller defenders around the rim and finishes with both hands. Brown has the physical tools and an intriguing skillset that coaches in the region should see value in.

After battling severe injuries the past few seasons, Koch has been outstanding to start her junior season. Koch scored the ball at a high level around the basket and shot the ball well from the mid-range area. Koch looks comfortable getting to her pull-up game, and she's shot the ball well. You won't find many kids at the high school level making pull-up jumpers efficiently enough to help their team win games, but Koch has been the outlier and been a fun player to watch.

The Denmark guard has been a high-usage player for the Vikings these past few seasons and has continued to excel this season. Micolichek has made at least one three-pointer in every game this season and has been in double figures scoring-wise in all but two games. Her ability to space the floor will play at the next level, and she's creative enough to do different things off the dribble. The threat she poses to defenses will lead to uncontrolled closeouts more often than not, and the Viking will punish defenses that get a little too aggressive on their closeouts.

The fact that Krull has gotten an extended run of games under her is a win in its own right, but Krull has exceeded any expectations after the history of injuries she endured. The junior guard has had a few games in 20 points against some of the top teams the Hawks have played against, and she's looked comfortable in all of them. After only two games in her first two seasons, Krull has gotten her high school career on track by being an excellent scoring option and being able to defend some of the top guards in the Bay Conference when needed. Her story is one of the best in the state this season.
