Well, we have reached the final classification, the 4A division, as we dive into the 2024-25 Miss Tennessee finalists. The largest classification in TSSAA, this class has such talented individuals who compete in this division. When I think about this classification, I think of young ladies who are truly battle-tested in the things that they have done and accomplished. Each of these finalists and those who weren't nominated as a final 3, all spent time grinding away at their craft as well as competing on many different platforms as they went toe-to-toe with some of the country's best. They have elevated their game, expanded their skills, and made a name for themselves beyond these borders. They are must-see box office material in their own right, so if you get an opportunity to check in on their game, you won't be disappointed. Each of these kids are gym rat who has mastered many skills to reach this point in their career. Stellar individuals who are the real deal.

On March 18th, the winners of this prestigious award will be announced at MTSU. I will tell you that this classification will probably be the toughest decision the voters will have to decide on. Each of these finalists is strong, dominant in their own right, and is an intricate piece to their team's success. They uplift those who are around them. They are tough competitors who are winners.

She has been terrorizing opponents since her freshman year. The junior forward has been doing work on both ends of the floor, eviscerating opponents along the way. She has expanded her game by stretching the floor, however, the way she had made a name for herself in the past is still her calling card. She does work on the interior, is phenomenal in the screen game and the high/low scenarios, locks up on the defensive end, and owns the boards. She is a strong, hungry individual who competes until there is nothing left. A top kid who impacts the game in more ways than one.

A superstar who has worked her tail off to get to where she is. This kid is phenomenal and when the ball is in her hands, you never know what's about to happen. Back in the day, there was a dance called the jitterbug, which was a shifty dance move they did back in the early 70s. Though it was way before my time, her ability to be shifty, and saucy with the ball in her hands, is second to none. She is a 3-level scoring threat who is a dominant guard. She has colleges clamoring for her signature, but in the meantime, she continues to do work on the hallowed Tennessee courts on both ends of the floor. She is the total package that can do all things. She is a fearless competitor who will try to win at everything she does. A tough competitor who is one of Tennessee's best.

Has to be one of the hardest-working individuals in the state. This kid is a gym rat for sure and gets after it in her training, on the floor, and in the classroom. Ella has eclipsed so many heights this season, breaking records along the way. She is a fearless leader who can get it done in multiple ways on the floor. Yes, scoring from anywhere on the floor is her #1 thing as she can spot up as well as be creative off the dribble. What people don't give her credit for is her ability to defend and also contribute on the boards. This kid stays locked in at all times and is a tremendous talent for sure. She is a Quinnipiac signee that will do big things at the next level.

Growth. I am excited about this young lady. I have seen her in multiple arenas and she just keeps getting better and better. Of course, she is dominant around the paint, but she has stretched the floor adding a mid-range game and a 3-point game to her arsenal. She is comfortable handling the ball, which poses threats to those who try to take away her driving ability. At one point she was all back to the basket, now her face-up game is lethal. Add in her ability to own the boards and block shots, you now see a well-rounded kid who is super solid. A talented kid who is on an upward trajectory.

A warrior. Pure and simple as that. Most don't know this but she has been playing with an injury (undisclosed) and still doing work. Hil is just a go-getter and is willing to do any and everything to help propel her ballclub. She has the heart of a lion and is always in attack mode. A dual sport athlete that is solid on both ends of the floor. She can get a bucket from anywhere and lock up on the defensive end. This kid has had a great HS basketball career.

Talented kid who had a year for the Lady Mustangs. She scored it at a high clip, rebounded the basketball with relentless energy, and truly was the spark plug for her team. High IQ ball player who got it done in the classroom as well as the floor. This kid can hoop and it definitely showed in all the contests that she played in.
