2024-25 Miss Tennessee Basketball 2A Finalists Revealed

Talk about a fundamentally sound group of kids who get after it. The nominees from this classification are as solid as they come. Talented kids who are fundamentally sound and who are also winners. These kids help uplift those around them. Each of them in their own right deserves to be up for this award.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Coaches and media members from around the state (sorry, I am not one), took a pool of players and nominated the three top players in each classification. Unfortunately, we won't know the winners for a few weeks as a committee of sports writers from across the state come together and vote. Has had a stellar career in high school. However, it's what she does on the defensive end that impresses me the most. She's on the boards (averaging close to 9 a game), she gets steals, and she blocks shots. Doesn't matter the platform, she's one of the most consistent ones in the state to do so. She's a ball of energy that just competes. She's a gamer who knows how to get the job done. Talented kid who makes the opposing team's game plan for her. She is solid from the arc, where she makes her money. Catch n' shoot, that's what she is all about. Though she is known for her scoring acumen, she brings so much more to the table. Hustle, heart, scrappiness, this kid gets after it and plays her role well in the process. Maddie is a talented ballplayer who shines when the lights come on. Everyone knows the saying the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, well with her, this rings true. Ally is one of the most talented kids in this class, averaging 21 ppg. She is a scoring threat from multiple spots on the floor but also knows how to ignite her ball club and spark a run. She defends, gets after it on the boards, and does the little things that give her team an edge. Basketball is in her DNA and this kid puts on a show in every contest. Look for her to continue to do big things and lead the Lady Mustangs deep into tournament play.<br><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are a few young ladies who just missed the cut from being nominated for this award. Their accomplishments shouldn't go unnoticed. She is a selfless guard who knows how to run a ball club. Her leadership is tremendous and her teammates thrive from her energy. She brings hard work, discipline, and leadership to the fold, giving her club an edge in every contest. Averaged 15 ppg, she not only could score it from multiple levels, but also make timely assists and lock up on the defensive end. She not only set the record for the most 3s in program history last year but will look to eclipse new heights as the season winds down. She has a deadly stroke from deep but will get to the paint to finish if need be. Don't allow this young lady to catch n' shoot 'cause she will carve you up in that situation. Though she is scoring close to 20ppg a game, it's the other things that help uplift her squad such as owning the boards and eliminating their best player in the paint.
