Round one had some upsets and a lot of good play from top to bottom.

Teams

Dixie

Dixie picks up a monster win against Murray and they had three players just come to play and show out. Hayden Stilson erupts for a career high 25 points and she propelled Dixie as they scored 80 points in this one. [player_tooltip player_id='873331' first='Izzy' last='Hollingshead'] had 22. Hollingshead has been playing well all season and she has a chance to really keep that momentum going as a next level player. Even though she is a freshman, when she plays with poise she is tough to stop. Jaycee Bundy was really good from beyond the arc in Round 1 and if they can get her to continue that trend Dixie could make a run. This is not the first time Bundy has been clutch from deep.

Players

West Field came into this one as an underdog but Britt and company had other plans as she was on fire from beyond the arc. Britt has been solid all year but she cam through when it mattered the most. Britt has been getting looks from a variety of colleges and she does have that lead guard skill but also she has the ability to play along side of another PG as a SG.

Nelson put up a dominant performance and the 5'11 G/SF has really put on a great junior year campaign and she could be a strong player and a stock riser in her class. With her size and strength she could easily be a steal for small schools looking for players that can do a little bit of shooting and work inside,

Smith had a great game as her size was just too much of a factor in this one. Her soft touch and ability to keep the ball high and finish was on display. She is a sneaky good prospect in this class.

Maughn dominated inside as she is one of the most physical bigs in the state. She went on to score 20 points and with a few more games like that she could make a solid run with her team, but she will need to be sharp.

Gustin was solid ina. huge win against a region opponent in Rd. 1. Her shooting came in clutch and she helped Pine View seal the deal. Gustin has had some games that make you double take. Keep an eye on her.
