6A – Playoff Preview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>6A- Playoff Preview</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When it comes to 6A there is a lot of hope for teams as every team has proved to be beatable and a lot of teams could make s run. There will be a favorite heading into the playoffs and that will be Copper Hills. They have been the toughest team from start to finish. They have been in a couple of really close games and they even stumbled in region play and were on the ropes a few times, but they have managed to pull things out.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>The Favorite</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Copper Hills</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Players to watch on this team will start with [player_tooltip player_id='788192' first='Skylie' last='Barker'] a CG that can do a little bit of everything out there on the floor. She can do it on the defensive ends as she can slow down anyone from 1-5 on an opposing team. She could really be the player to break things open for her team. [player_tooltip player_id='788318' first='Aspen' last='Fraser'] has come up clutch this year as her shooting has improved from 15-feet all over the floor as has her rebounding. [player_tooltip player_id='789127' first='Ayla' last='Marston'] has been good out in the perimeter making shots. Fusi Ledger has been one of the best Glue Girls out there.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Next Tier</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Syracuse</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Syracuse was on a big run as they stumbled against Fremont but this team remains as one of the tough teams to beat and their size is what makes them tough. Rachel McBridge has stepped her game up over the course of this season and she will be a presence inside on both ends that could just make other players second guess themselves as they get into the lane. [player_tooltip player_id='796823' first='Maylee' last='Anderson'] is also a player that can shoot, she has a shot that if she is n, she could shoot the lights out.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Westlake</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Westlake is young but they are experienced. Janice Sikander is a player that can score 15+ one game and score 2 points and have a major impact on the game on a different occasion. [player_tooltip player_id='796479' first='Avery' last='Thompson'] has been playing well and they just have a lot of players on the roster that play hard and like to get up and down. If you are not prepared for their physicality and speed they could run you out of the gym.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fremont</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fremont had one of the worst strength of schedules in 6A but they remain atop of the rankings and will likely be a 5 seed or higher. They are led by [player_tooltip player_id='796472' first='Abigail' last='Christensen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='805280' first='Ava' last='Post'], but they are surging with [player_tooltip player_id='827419' first='Olivia' last='Surrage'].&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Dark Horse Teams</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mountain Ridge</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>MR has been playing well as of late as they took Copper Hills to the wire and were able to pick up a good road win at Bingham. The two players that have been great have been [player_tooltip player_id='796847' first='Jessica' last='Maynard'] and [player_tooltip player_id='805788' first='Kaylee' last='Montgomery']. They also get excellent play from Kya newton and [player_tooltip player_id='866703' first='Jada' last='Jangard']. This team could easily make a run.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lone Peak</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lone Peak plays fast and has a lot of players that they can turn to. [player_tooltip player_id='796745' first='Kennedy' last='Woolston'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796473' first='Zuri' last='Nordstrom'] have both been great all year. They get great minutes and production from Maddie Pope and [player_tooltip player_id='849040' first='Lave' last='Holdcraft']. The way they play and get after it could really shock a tea. That matchup zone they play and how they run could help them make a deep run.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bingham</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bingham has been in every game they have played and are always within a few possessions of pulling any win off. They are led by [player_tooltip player_id='788161' first='Addy' last='Horsley'] who is a tough lead guard that knows how to get downhill. Evy Roberts has picked things up shooting from deep. If they can continue to get solid production from players like Kaylynn Richardson, Ian Finau and others this team is dangerous as well.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
