Players of the Month: January

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Weeks 6-10 for the 2024-25 season for girls' high school basketball, manufactured great individual performances from back-court and front-court players across the State of New Mexico. What's more, Sena reached double-figures in all 10 of the Mustangs games. Additionally, Sena had five games with at least 10 free-throw-attempts, two games with 10 assists and one game with 10 steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Altogether, the senior point-guard averaged 19.7 points -- on 42/25/80 shooting splits -- 3.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 5.0 steals for West Mesa.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To say Sena has a knack for getting to the foul-line, is an understatement. Borunda not only reached double-figures in all 10 games played, but also recorded five 20-point games and two 30-point games for the Wildcats who went 7-3.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall, the 5'9" shooting-guard totaled two double-doubles while averaging 19.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 4.1 steals per game. Her excellent all-around play continued in January as Pacheco reached double-figures in all 11 of the Dons games.
