Tuesday night was another night of action with Playoff implications spreading across the entire state of Nebraska. Some team's moved on, some went home but no matter what, everyone that I watched gave their best effort. In this piece below, we cover five players that stood out on Tuesday throughout their specific contest. Not every player's team came out victorious but in the end, each prospect showed out and became better because of it.

When you have a low scoring battle, every point matters. In Blair's contest on Tuesday, they finished off the game winning by a final of 39-33 and 2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='1204793' first='Cadence' last='Field'] had 9 of those 39. Field is a freshman this Winter but she isn't playing like one. With each contest that she participates in, she seems to get a little bit better at the PG position. She is someone that has quickly learned her teammates tendencies, while showing her worth each and every night on the basketball. With her smart dribble techniques, her ability to get past her initial defender, and her willingness to facilitate for others - she makes things look pretty easy at times. Field still has a long way to go but on Tuesday night, she showed a lot of promise.

Height, a soft touch, balance, coordination, physicality, these are just a few choice words to describe [player_tooltip player_id='316416' first='Parker' last='Christiansen']'s play-style. On Tuesday night, Christiansen and company took it to their competition, winning by over 25+ points when the final buzzer sounded. Throughout the game, Christiansen was unstoppable with her looks near the basket. There was no one from the opposing team that could match her mixture of size and situational awareness, making it fairly simple to have a good amount of success. Waverly stays alive with this W and they move onto the next round of the Post Season. If they want to keep winning it's going to take more performances just like this one out of P.C.

Usually when we bring up Pius X and their success, it's because of one of their top two or three producers but someone that Standing Bear didn't account for on Tuesday night was senior, [player_tooltip player_id='1204797' first='Hannah' last='Bedient']. Bedient, a 5'11 SG, went out and had a performance to remember. She ended up posting a stat line of 16 points (6-10), 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 4 steals. Within these 16 points, 9 of them came from the three point line as she went 3-4 from behind the arc. This is really where things started for Bedient and where they finished in a sense. You can tell with all the weapons on this team that Bedient is one of their best SG options at any given moment. When she see's one go in to start the contest, it could end up as a long day for the competition and that's what happened throughout this one on Tuesday evening is Pius X secured a convincing W.

[player_tooltip player_id='1204800' first='Addison' last='Andersen'] of York High School may of had her season end on Tuesday but I think she is going to return stronger and even better in the Fall. Andersen comes in as a 5'8 CG/SG/SF for all intents and purposes. Within her York program, this season they have had several different guards step up in big moments and Andersen has been in that conversation. In their narrow battle against Seward on Tuesday, Andersen capped things off with 8 points on 50% shooting, hitting 2 three pointers and getting to the line as well. Andersen made these shots off of great footwork and being open around the outside. She was ready to catch in those moments and as soon as she let it fly, every shot she took looked pure. Sometimes to play your role, you have to be a creature of opportunity. You have to move to the open spots that present themselves and you have to trust in your work. That's two things Andersen did to a T in this one.

Lakeview may of fallen short in their last contest to finish of their season but they showed positives in all facets of the game. Someone that helped along with this, capping off an impressive Sophomore season is SG, [player_tooltip player_id='1118310' first='Hadley' last='Hornung']. Hornung is a deadly three point shooter with a high IQ. Not only is Hornung someone that can produce on the ball, she produces it off the ball just as much, which is an important factor to note. 95% of the game of basketball is played off of the ball or without it in your possession. To be able to produce in small amounts of time and in quick moments, can make the difference in a win or a loss. This group had a hard task against a very skilled and very deep Bennington program but that shouldn't change the fact that Hornung would be someone to note moving into this Spring/Summer AAU season.
