<p>With the state tournaments looming and teams securing their spots for a chance to win a state title, I took a look into each district within each class to see who's headed to the state tournaments.</p>

<p>For the first round of this district tournament, all games are loser-out games with the top 4 seeds getting byes. 6th seed Mount Vernon defeated 11th seed Edmonds Woodway, 49-43 to advance. Edmonds Woodway would see their season end. 7th seed Monroe defeated 10th Sedro Woolley, 57-27 to advance on. 6th seed Shorewood defeated 12th seed Everett, 41-30 to advance on and Everett had their season end. 9th seed Mountlake Terrace would upset 8th seed Ferndale, 55-45 to end the Golden Eagles season and advance.</p>

<p>Now the bracket turns into double elimination. 1 seed Snohomish defeated 9th seed Mountlake Terrace, 64-41. Mountlake Terrace would go to the loser-out section of the bracket. 2nd seed Meadowdale would be upset by 7th seed Monroe, 50-49 in a fantastic back and forth game. Meadowdale would go to the loser-out section of the bracket. 3rd seed Stanwood defeated 6th seed Mount Vernon, 59-23. Mount Vernon would go to the loser-out section of the bracket. 4th seed Shorecrest would beat 5th seed Shorewood, 53-38. Shorewood would go to the loser-out section of the bracket.</p>

<p>In the semi-finals of the 3A district 1 tournament, 1 seed Snohomish took on 4th seed Shorecrest. Shorecrest would win and upset Snohomish, 47-23 and advance on. Snohomish would go to the loser-out section of the bracket. 3rd seed Stanwood took on 7th seed Monroe. Stanwood would win, 59-41 and advance to the district championship game. Monroe would go to the loser-out section of the bracket.</p>

<p>In the loser-out section of the bracket, 2nd seed Meadowdale played 6th seed Mount Vernon. Meadowdale would win, 70-25. Mount Vernon would see their season end. 5th seed Shorewood would play 9th seed Mountlake Terrace. Shorewood would win, 50-29 and advance on with Mountlake Terrace having their season end.</p>

<p>In the 3A District 1 championship game, 3 seed Stanwood took on 4th seed Shorecrest. Both teams would advance to the state tournament regardless of the outcome. Stanwood would win, 57-46 and be crowned district champions. [player_tooltip player_id='586861' first='Ellalee' last='Wortham'] has been playing at an elite level, dominating on both ends of the court. </p>

<p>In the loser out section, 1 seed Snohomish would take on 2 seed Meadowdale. Meadowdale would win in OT, 61-59 and advance to the 3A state tournament. Snohomish would be eliminated. In the other loser-out game, 5th seed Shorewood would play 7th seed Monroe. Monroe beat Shorewood, 57-48 to take the last spot available for the state tournament.</p>
