This year's edition of War vs The Shore saw teams from the super deep Shore Conference take on teams from the ever-competitive Cape Atlantic League! The Shore may have won the battle 6-4, but the girls from the Cape Atlantic League proved formidable opponents. The following FIVE represent the best of Saturday's invitational:

[player_tooltip player_id='559074' first='Riley' last='Wheeler'] | Red Bank Regional

Riley put up a team-high 20 points, including clutch free throws in OT, to help RBR hold off a balanced Egg Harbor squad. She did a fantastic job alternating between the 1 & 2, scoring it at a high clip but also dishing out eight assists and getting her teammates involved in the action. With entry passes to [player_tooltip player_id='333332' first='Caroline' last='Polloway'] and perimeter distribution to 3-point threats like [player_tooltip player_id='559044' first='Synai' last='Blychanton'], she made sure everybody ate!

[player_tooltip player_id='333355' first='Haley' last='Poser'] | Ranney

One of the most prolific scorers in the state this season, Haley showed that it doesn't take long for her to heat up and STAY HOT! Her 26-point performance carried Ranney to a 49-44 win over OLMA in the day's final game. She was [expectedly] dangerous from 3-point land, knocking down four triples with lightning quick release! Even when OLMA switched their best defender at her and threw the double, she still found ways to get buckets!

[player_tooltip player_id='583947' first='Kiera' last='McKown'] | Howell

19 points. 15 rebounds. 10 blocks. A TRIPLE-DOUBLE! Kiera did it all in Howell's 50-38 win over host Mainland. Notching her second triple-double of the season, she made sure her presence was fully felt on both sides of the ball. The 6'0" Forward was a force around the rim, pulling down rebounds at a furious pace and denying shots left and right!

[player_tooltip player_id='1048715' first='Lola' last='McGonigle'] | Wildwood Catholic

Lola led all scorers with 21 points and also dished out a game-high 7 assists in the Crusaders' 78-54 domination of Donovan Catholic. Her signature 3-point bomb was falling at a furious rate, rattling in SEVEN triples which made for all 21 of her points on the afternoon. She was assertive and kept her foot on the gas, fully taking advantage of the constant breakdowns in DC's defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='559037' first='Taylor' last='Sofilkanich'] | St. John Vianney

Taylor did a little bit of everything in SJV's 31-point blowout win over Middle Township. She tallied 15 points, pulled down 5 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and sent back 3 shots to wreak havoc on both ends of the floor! Middle had no answer for her 6'5" frame, throwing the double and triple at her to no avail. One of the state's leaders in blocks this season, she shut off lanes and deterred the Panthers from easy routes to the basket.
