<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On&nbsp;<strong>February 28<sup>th</sup>&nbsp;</strong>the&nbsp;<strong>2025 Girls 1A Championship</strong>&nbsp;game took place at the&nbsp;<strong>Veteran's Memorial Coliseum</strong>. The game had the #1&nbsp;<strong>Joseph City Wildcats</strong>&nbsp;taking on the #2&nbsp;<strong>Fort Thomas Apaches</strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Joseph City</strong>&nbsp;was looking to finish the job after finishing as the 1A runner up last season.&nbsp;<strong>Joseph City</strong>&nbsp;controlled the tempo with their matchup zone defense and ability to get out and finish on fast breaks. At the half&nbsp;<strong>Joseph City</strong>&nbsp;was up 35-18. The&nbsp; 2nd&nbsp;half was&nbsp;much of the same as the Wildcats continued to force turnovers that turned into layups. She was all over the court on both offense and defense. She got to her mid-range shot often. She didn't shoot much but when she did, she shot at a high percentage. She has a quick release and uses head fakes very well. She uses her length very well once she gets into the paint. She was always on the move by cutting, making it easy for her teammates to find her. On defense she anticipated passes very well. She flashed the ability to be a very good inside/outside threat with her skill and perimeter shooting. She played at a very nice pace while making sure that her teammates got good looks at the basketball. She had some beautiful passes among her 6 assists. She showed that she is more than an interior player. She stepped out and hit a three ball. She displayed her ability to slash to the basket as well as hit the pull up jump shot. She also has good timing on blocking shots while on defense.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->

On February 28th the 2025 Girls 1A Championship game took place at the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum. The game had the #1 Joseph City Wildcats taking on the #2 Fort Thomas Apaches. Joseph City was looking to finish the job after finishing as the 1A runner up last season. Joseph City controlled the tempo with their matchup zone defense and ability to get out and finish on fast breaks.
