<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On <strong>March 1<sup>st</sup> </strong>the <strong>Girls 3A Basketball Championship</strong> took place at <strong>Veterans Memorial Coliseum</strong>. <strong>Snowflake</strong> jumped out to a big lead as <strong>Payson</strong> struggled to make shots in the opening period. <strong>Payson</strong> settled down in the 2<sup>nd</sup> quarter as <strong>Snowflake</strong> went into halftime with a 29-13 lead. Her energy was contagious as her athletic ability commanded extra attention from the defense. She played good on the ball defense and knocked down some threes along the way. She didn't shoot as well as she normally does but her toughness carried her. On defense she collected 3 steals and played good on the ball defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->

On March 1st the Girls 3A Basketball Championship took place at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Snowflake jumped out to a big lead as Payson struggled to make shots in the opening period. Payson settled down in the 2nd quarter as Snowflake went into halftime with a 29-13 lead. In the 2nd half Snowflake continued to maintain their lead. Payson got the lead down to single digits late in the game, but Snowflake held on to capture the state title 49-37.
