4A Championship Game Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On <strong>March 6^th the</strong> <strong>Girls 4A Championship game</strong> took place at <strong>Veterans Memorial Coliseum</strong>. It was the #4 <strong>Eastmark Firebirds</strong> taking on the #3 <strong>Flagstaff Eagles</strong>. The <strong>Firebirds</strong> had come in winners of 13 of their last 14 games and the <strong>Eagles</strong> came in winning 11 of their last 12. <strong>Flagstaff</strong> jumped out to an early lead as the <strong>Firebirds</strong> struggled to score. Her confidence was sky-high and it showed in her play. She was hitting threes, on the boards and forcing the tempo. On defense, she was actively in the passing lanes causing problems. She displayed moves around the basket. While she showed that she could post up, she also showed that she could step out and hit the outside jump shot. She got into the lane and created easy shots for her teammates. She played with a good pace and always had head her up looking to advance the ball. She is a solid ball handler and ran the offense. She often picked up her man defensively the full length of the court. On offense, she displayed a quick burst and the ability to shoot the pull-up jumper.
