5 Class D NEPSACGBA All-Star Selections

With the season winding down, there's been a lot of news to report on around the region, especially with the postseason here. There's definitely been some exceptional performers on the season in NEPSAC. Class D itself has immensely gifted teams constructed with some top-level talent. They're about to take the gloves off as they fight for a championship and this is an ideal time to highlight the premier players. Some of these players have been featured regularly this season, so it's fitting they'd become All-Stars. These are 5 of the recently announced Class D All-Star selections. [player_tooltip player_id='1209779' first='Alicia' last='Stone'] (2028) | PF | Bancroft   Although deemed undersized by some, Alicia plays well above her height. She brings tremendous strength and the determination to rebound amongst the trees. She's also productive in small spaces. Stone gets the opportunity on offense to flash high-post and demonstrates great cutting skills after the elbow action develops. Alicia has been one of the leading contributors for Bancroft this season. Her 2-way toughness allows her to have a significant impact on the game, especially on defensive side of the ball. Most times Alicia gets the competitive edge over the individual matchups. She shows incredible determination hustling to 50/50 balls and provides excellent help defense. Stone was named a finalist in this year's DPOY as well as POY in the class.     Olivia Mwura (2028) | PG | Bancroft   Olivia is a guard that plays hard and influences winning. Mwuara can be a solid attacker downhill, but where she really separates herself is her willingness to make a play for a teammate. Whether that's a connective pass, a quick assist or directing traffic so quality shots can be had, Olivia makes it her point to get the job done dexterously. She remains a quality player on the defense as well. Mwuara has the physique to absorb the contact experienced from upperclassmen guards too. Olivia has a promising overall game.     [player_tooltip player_id='428116' first='Lily' last='Sokol'] (2026) | 5'8 Wing | RHCD   Lily has been absolutely stunning this year. Her game has evolved and with vital experience playing heavy minutes, she's become even more commanding. Sokol averaged nearly 20 pts, 14 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl, plus 2 blocks. She did all this while shooting close to 50% on the season. With Rocky Hill losing a few players from last year and struggling with injury, it's really aided in Sokol's ability to blossom this season. Excited to see Lily carry over this momentum to the offseason. It'll be exciting to see her garner some college interest.     [player_tooltip player_id='1217935' first='Jaliah' last='Duplessy'] (2029) | Wing | Brimmer & May   Jaliah has seemed to improve as the season has gone on. The 8th grader has been highly effective and a key contributor for an extremely young Brimmer squad. Jaliah has exhibited impressive 2-way ability on the wing. She has a strong frame and polished skillset for what she does. The shot is valid plus she initiates lane penetration. When she drives the defense collapses and shooters get cleaner looks. Duplessy understands her spots, this is why she can be featured at various positions without a drop off in production. The defense has yet to be spoken about yet; Jaliah can aggravate many offensive initiators with her powerful physique as well as responsive agility. She opens her hips up well while displaying topnotch agility as well as a long wingspan, a combination scary for unfit ballhandlers. Jaliah loves to blow plays up by springing on the flight of the ball and toeing the line of the passing lane. She's also a marvelous help-side defender. With the upcoming '29 rankings coming, keep an eye out for Jaliah's name in the mix.     [player_tooltip player_id='1223101' first='Elliana' last='Barros'] (2030) | CG | Brimmer & May   Originally thought of as just a smoothing shooting guard, describing her as such would be a massive understatement. Barros has proved to be so much more than that. Elliana has demonstrated crafty ball handling, decisive decision-making skills, the ability to create plays for others, on top of the fact that she's a fluent shooter as well. This is a daring player with an abundance of value. The attention Barros commands from the defense is vast; defenders must go above and beyond when it comes to their coverage. The comprehension prowess has already shown to be advanced too. Barros knows she can attack unprepared defenders at any point. The rhythm and poise while setting up moves is just another aspect of the game where she shines. The fluidity she plays with permits this preceding confidence over players guarding her. There aren't too many players in her class as gifted as her. She's making defenders pick their poison and the consistent fearless attitude Barros has, makes her a hard ask to cover. Elliana will be an incredible player for years to come.
