AAU Season Insights: Players Poised for High School Success

As the basketball world turns, we close another chapter in our books. Tournament champions have been crowned. Seniors are just a couple of months away from graduation. Soon, there will be a new crop of kids on campus. Along with new kids, we will also have new kids who will step into bigger roles for their schools.   AAU season is here and let me tell you, it's bother whole new ballgame. Our Volunteer prospects will be suiting up for various clubs around the state/region. With that also being said, you better believe our kids will also be getting better. I feel that AAU is where kids start to mold themselves a little differently. They tend to build up confidence and break away from the pack. Girls come back to their prospective schools next year a little different. Along with off-season training, weights, and playing travel, kids will be built a little differently come the next high school season.   Here are some young ladies who are primed to take the next step and be solid contributors for their schools next season.    A selfless leader who loves getting after it. Doesn't matter if it's training, practice, or in play, she's going full force, leaving it all on the court. She's becoming a solid contributor who can score the basketball, facilitate an offense, and contribute in multiple phases of the game. She's learning how to be a dawg along with being a vocal leader. Look for her to help the Lady Eagles soar even higher next season.     Quiet contributor who packs a solid game. She gained more confidence in her style of play, which will be a tremendous asset to the Lady Eagles ball club. She can spot up on the three or put it on the floor and finish against contact. Look for this kid to add quality depth to what will be a deep Indy basketball team.     After seeing some early action in a lot of games this year, she will be primed and ready to take the next step in her development. She's already a downhill threat, but what stands out with her is that she is built by that TA model, grit and grind. She will lock you up and the defensive end, which will lead to turnover opportunities. Look for this prospect to take the next step and be an intricate piece to the Lady Panthers' attack.     Played sparingly this season but will be ready to contribute significantly next year. She's a shifty guard who can pull the trigger from deep, but also create off the dribble utilizing her speed and quickness to get to the rim. Solid build and is poised with the ball in her hands, she makes the right reads as she gains advantageous spots on the floor where she can exploit. Look for her to come back to the Lady Lions program as a new threat to help eliminate the competition.     Someone who is about to make even more noise in the Chattanooga area. This young lady has a Notre Dame program believing again. After playing in contests where her team competed against some tougher opponents, she was someone who instilled confidence and wouldn't back down. This summer she is going to get battle-tested and sharpened even more, which will enable her to come back in the fall ready to get after it. She has a quick first step she utilizes on the way to the rim. As well as the ability to shoot the 3 ball confidently. Add her ability to defend on-ball and play solid off-ball defense where she is in position to get steals, you have one solid prospect that's gonna be big-time from the Chatt area. Keep your eyes locked on this prospect as she looks to take her game to the next level.
