Game 2 of Championship Saturday saw a highly contested game between two clubs that had a sensational regular season. This game had all the headlines coming in as these two clubs were kind of built similarly. For instance, you had two dynamic guards in [player_tooltip player_id='513227' first='Meeyah' last='Green'] from Webb and [player_tooltip player_id='513275' first='Lily' last='Morrow'] from CPA. Two big-time post players in Kendall Mays from Webb and [player_tooltip player_id='822224' first='Jayda' last='Robinson'] from CPA. Then you had shooters, coaches who are offensive technicians. The question should have been who would be the kid who would have a game of their life? Technically, there were two, but there could only be one winner.

Webb led right from the jump, taking a 16-7 1st quarter lead. However, CPA scrapped and battled back, making the game interesting, especially going into the half. Webb was just able to get after it a little more, especially when CPA's team leader went down with a devastating injury. Webb was able to hold on, making an exceptional run where they capitalized on second-chance shots and fast breaks. They dominated the paint and were able to eliminate any momentum CPA tried to muster up. Webb Knoxville wings 61-47.

The Clemson signee was her magician-like self again. Such a tremendous ballplayer who plays with such poise. Plays with a lot of energy and handles the rock; she is a high-level scoring threat who has amazing court vision. She finished the game with 19 points, but it was her ability to turn the Lady Lions over that led to easy transition buckets for her ballclub. She had six steals in this game, which made all the difference. Meeyah, if you don't know her, is an absolute dawg on the basketball floor. A tough competitor who wants to win. A selfless leader who doesn't care about her assignment; she is willing to just go out and do whatever to help her ball club get the W. Now, she is a champion to go along with her stellar high school career thus far. Look for her to help her club run it back next season.

A beast in the paint, she had a solid game where she finished with 12 points and 7 boards. She battled in the paint, going through the opposition and making the tough shot. She was physical, established her presence, and went to work early and often in this game. She is one of the top 28s in her class. She can use this feeling and performance to launch herself to another level. Now that she has one championship under her belt, look for her to go out on a mission to obtain many more. A tremendous kid who has a bright future.

Had a tremendous game where she was feeling it from the floor. She was the aggressor as she was a downhill threat to the opposition. Zahnyah finished with 20 points, 2 assists, and 5 steals. Talk about someone who was active, she utilized her speed and quickness to create havoc on the defensive end. This was her coming-out party, and everyone took notice as she battled on the floor. She was the X factor for her ball club. Look for her to take this success into next season. A very talented guard whose stock is on the rise for sure.

A very solid stretch who can play along the perimeter, with her back to the basket, and has a solid face-up game. Thrives in the mid-range, but she dropped 20 points in her teams' effort. Jane has always been solid and just competes on both ends of the floor. No matter her assignment, she is going to give it her all and then some. She dives on the floor, wins the 50/50 ball, does the little things right, plus so much more. Look for her to harness this feeling and help her ball club get back to state next season. She is very talented and will take this performance and build on it. A heady ball player with a bright future.

This kid is back better than ever. After dealing with some injuries early in the season, she put together a solid body of work that helped this CPA club get to the finals. She is a monster in the paint who plays with relentless energy. She battles from block to block, establishes her presence, and fights through the opposition as she makes countless buckets. She is big-time on the boards, and the performances she displayed throughout the playoffs have her stock shooting through the roof. Look for this young lady to keep working in the lab and become one of the top bigs in the state in her class. A solid player with a bright future. Will be an asset for any ball club at the next level.
