Introducing PGH Florida’s Miss Basketball: Jim’Miyah Branton

We are pleased to announce Jim’Miyah Branton Jim’Miyah Branton 5'7" | PG SLAM! (Miami) | 2025 State FL as your 2025 PGH Florida Miss Basketball! There were many worthy candidates, but ultimately the fans voted Jim'Miyah as Miss Basketball with over 50% of the vote and over 400 votes in her favor.

Jim'Miyah had a fantastic season playing against one of the toughest schedules in the state. She averaged an impressive 15.5 points per game, 8.4 rebounds per game, 4.8 assists per game, and 3.6 steals per game. JB helped lead her team to another Final 4 appearance at Lakeland in back-to-back seasons and for the third time in her career. Below you will see why she has more than earned this designation:

- 1000 Point Club (All buckets in a Titans uniform)

- Miami Herald Regional Playoffs Player of the Week

- Miami Dade Player of the Year Nominee (2024)

This season, she signed her NLI commitment to Austin Peay in the early/fall signing period. She is the FIRST-EVER Division 1 basketball player in SLAM History!

Her coach, Krystal Cabrera, couldn't speak more highly of her. She said, "Jim'Miyah is so self-directed, and that's what makes her so special. She's a workhorse, a gym rat, and a goal getter. She is constantly trying to add to her bag & raise the bar - she's never complacent. That drive is why she has been so successful thus far in her career. She is not afraid of the work. How she does anything, is how she does everything! And that is to the best of her ability!"

When Coach Cabrera and Jim'Miyah met, she said "Jim'Miyah was just a young, shy, quiet 8th grader! I had followed her middle school career and knew early on she would be destined for greatness! Many know her for her great athletic ability and talents, but I got to know the odds-defying, hard-working, pure-hearted, tik tok dancing, funny, fighter who has earned everything coming her way! She has made me much of who I am. I pushed myself to become the best coach I could be to keep up with someone as great as her! We have an amazing bond - she can count on me for life & she is forever my GOAT!"

We want to wish Jim'Miyah the BEST of luck in her future on and off the court. It's been a pleasure to watch her hoop it up in Florida all these years!
