Saturday, Prep Girls Hoops, in partnership with Lansing Community College, hosted the first ever PGH JUCO Showcase. The event was intended for interested collegians from Junior Colleges (and other schools) looking to showcase their talents in front of 4-year colleges & universities to potentially earn an offer/roster spot. This is the third of three articles, and this will focus on the 8 ladies from the "New York Liberty" named team. A couple of players moved around throughout the event, but below is the original roster.

#17 - Tia Richard, Sophomore, 5-6 PG, Grand Rapids Community College
- Tia is a graduate of Donaldsonville High School (LA), so she's a long way from home. She has nice length at her size, she is quick, fast, and feisty, she possesses good ball skill, and she likes to make plays off the dribble, whether she's scoring the ball or creating for others. If anything, learning to change speeds could help her, but she is a playmaker who can improvise on the fly.

#115 - D'Kara Scott, Freshman, 5-4 SG, Lake Michigan College
- D'Kara is a strong little guard for her size. She plays compact and looks to attack off the dribble on each catch. I felt like she was a nice little athlete who play hard at both ends of the floor, and as she continues to tighten her skillset, she could be a really nice small college energy kid for someone. D'Kara graduated from Lakeshore High School (MI) nearby the LMC campus.

#166 - Taijah Lewis, Freshman, 5-9 PF, Wayne County Community College
- Taijiah originally comes from Clintondale High School (MI). She is extremely long & wiry, she's a really nice athlete in all directions, and she has a lot of bounce to her. She can definitely get out and run in transition, pursue rebounds outside of her area, and defend multiple positions. As she continues to build her offensive skillset, she could be a nice small college prospect.

#515 - Caley Strahan, Freshman, 6-1 PF, Southwestern Michigan College
- Caley is a nice-sized prospect, she has very good strength, length, but she's also polished skillfully. Early this season, she relied mostly on her touch outside, and she can really shoot it with any space. But as the season wore on, she was much more physical inside, used her strength around the block, and rebounded/defended better. She graduated from Bishop McNamara (IL).

#743 - Brianna Clark, Sophomore, 5-10 SG, Lansing Community College
- Brianna graduated from Ypsilanti's Lincoln High School (MI). She is a long, wiry, smooth, fluid wing prospect. I would say of the girls in attendance, she is probably the one I would least want to play H-O-R-S-E against. She has great touch outside, and that's her calling card for sure. She can defend with her length and handle it a little offensively, plus she will rebound.

#744 - Ashlynn Putman, Freshman, 6-0 PF, Lansing Community College
- Ashlynn might have helped herself as much as anyone yesterday. She played with an outstanding motor, she has deceptive athleticism in most directions, and she is seemingly always productive. She was great on the boards, she showed balance when she stopped, and she had a versatile inside-out skillset, including a 3-point shot. She graduated from Mason High School (MI).

#934 - Claire Tobias, Freshman, 5-8 SG, Lansing Community College
- Claire graduated from Holt High School (MI). She is a steady, skilled, and disciplined player who has a nice overall IQ for the game. She showed a versatile skillset, too. She showed a bit of a jumper outside, she had a solid handle, and she could attack the basket North/South. She didn't do anything with flash; she was just a solid player who does a little of everything well.

#935 - Hailee Jefferson, Sophomore, 5-7 SF, Delta College
- Hailee made the NJCAA Region 12 and MCCAA 1st Teams this season. She has a strong frame, she's a nice athlete in most directions, and she plays extremely hard. I really enjoyed the effort she gave defensively and, on the boards, plus she was able to find baskets at the offensive end by outworking her matchup. Hailee graduated from Arthur Hill High School (MI).
