Unsigned Seniors: Dialed in from Downtown

Every college program needs shooters who can bury open jumpers from the perimeter. Here are several unsigned seniors with a dynamic skill set that includes proficiency from three-point distance.    Africa, a foreign exchange student from Spain, has been a lightning rod for the Bath Fighting Bees this season. She has a smooth shooting stroke from beyond the arc, firing from a balanced stance with a confident follow-through. Africa is effective off the catch or the dribble. She's lanky, creates space to shoot with her sharp crossovers, generates steals on defense, rebounds, and finishes at the rim with a burst.     Sydney, a long, athletic wing from Sturgis, is good for two or more triples almost every night. She moves to open space, catches passes with balance, and fires accurate shots from the perimeter. Sydney snags rebounds and pushes the ball with pace in transition, finishing well with either hand at the rim. Her anticipation and length create steals on defense.     After missing significant time due to injury, Addison is back to making a difference for Dexter on the court. She maintains great positioning on the defensive end, denying cutters, disrupting passing lanes, and closing out hard on perimeter shooters. Addison has excellent court vision, handles the ball effectively with both hands, finishes in traffic, and buries three-point jumpers.     Brooklyn is having another outstanding season for Macomb Dakota. She has several games with two or more triples and isn't shy about letting it fly from beyond the volleyball line. Brooklyn tracks the ball like a hawk on the defensive end, intercepting passes and picking pockets. After securing the steal, Brooklyn immediately looks to score in transition. She races up the court with explosive speed, using both hands, and drives straight to the rim. She doesn't shy away from contact and finishes or gets to the free-throw line.     Natalia has been stellar for Saugatuck in the backcourt this season. She contributes in every statistical category, posting a near quadruple-double during a win against Comstock Park. Natalia ripped the nets with four triples against Black River and has multiple games with at least three from downtown. She generates steals on the defensive end with her quickness and anticipation. Natalia finishes effectively using either hand at the rim and is a confident ball-handler. She has an extra gear when driving to the basket and great body control in contested situations.     Jensyn is a sniper with a reputation for her three-point shooting. She buried six triples against Shepherd and Pinconning. She finds soft spots in the defense and sinks her shots with a smooth flick of the wrist. Jensyn racks up the steals on defense by staying active in the passing lanes. She finishes at the rim and is an all-around impact player in the Standish-Sterling backcourt.     Brooklyn is having another productive year for a Holland Christian team looking to make a ton of noise in the postseason. She's a constant threat from beyond the arc and finishes with a soft touch around the basket. Brooklyn handles the ball well with both hands, sees the floor, and dishes crisp passes in a split second to open teammates.     Kinder is a scrappy sparkplug guard from Sturgis who can light it up from beyond the arc, distribute passes to open teammates, and finish full-speed layups off the dribble. Her aggressive full-court and perimeter pressure in the half-court leads to several steals a game. Kinder makes the effort plays and energizes the team with her competitive edge.
