She delivered in the biggest moments, scoring 16 points in both the semifinal and championship games, proving she thrives under pressure. Pope's craftiness as a finisher allowed her to score against bigger defenders, and her advanced feel for the game helped her make smart plays in crucial moments. She was relentless on the boards, often securing second-chance opportunities for her team. Whether handling the ball under defensive pressure or finding ways to score, Pope played like a seasoned veteran and was one of the most impactful freshmen in the tournament. She has a quick first step that allows her to get by defenders, and her aggressive mentality makes her a constant threat in transition. Waters also rebounds well for a guard, showing a willingness to battle inside against taller opponents. Her ability to push the pace and attack the rim kept defenses scrambling to keep up. With her natural scoring instincts and ability to create for herself, Waters proved to be one of the most dynamic young guards in the tournament.     Despite being just an 8th grader, Lexi Beckman played with poise beyond her years in her first state tournament appearance. She recorded 8 points and 9 rebounds in her lone game at Spokane Arena, showing her ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Beckman anchored Rainier's 2-3 zone in the middle, using her length and awareness to alter shots and control the paint. She displayed strong rebounding instincts, constantly battling for boards and keeping possessions alive for her team. Her skill level and natural feel for the game suggest she will be a dominant force in future state tournaments. The foundation is set for Beckman to become a standout player in the years to come.     Colfax's Allie Jenkins showed impressive confidence for an 8th grader, scoring 9 points in her lone game at Spokane Arena. She plays with poise, never shying away from the ball in key moments, and consistently looks to make things happen on both ends of the court. Jenkins' activity level stood out, as she was constantly moving, cutting, and positioning herself well to get open. Her ability to handle defensive pressure and make the right decisions was rare for a player of her age. Alyssa Babb provided Liberty with floor spacing and timely shot-making, hitting two crucial three-pointers in the 4th/6th place game. She has a quick and fluid release, making her a constant threat from beyond the arc. In addition to her shooting, Babb is active defensively, using her quickness to disrupt passing lanes and contest shots. She also does the little things well, like boxing out and positioning herself for rebounds against bigger opponents. Her ability to impact the game without needing the ball in her hands makes her a valuable piece for Liberty. With her shooting touch and defensive energy, Babb is a young player to watch in the coming seasons.
