Yesterday was my first full day of AAU basketball this spring and summer. I have multiple kids I'd like to highlight from yesterday, but we're dealing with the 17U age level today.

I thought Linke was the most impressive kid at the 17U level last night. She battled through plenty of contact, some of which may have been borderline dangerous, that didn't get a whistle. Once she got the ball in her hands, there was nothing the defense could do to stop her around the rim, and with her nose for the ball and motor, she rebounded over a crowd on multiple occasions. You could throw some hilarious numbers about what her line might have looked like, and I'd believe almost anything. She was outstanding.

I've always liked what [player_tooltip player_id='509716' first='Sage' last='Miskel'] brings to the floor. She approaches each game in a way I appreciate. The Whitefish Bay native flies around the floor, making plays on the defensive end and rebounds at a high level for a guard. She also does an excellent job getting downhill and putting pressure on the rim. At the next level, she'll be a guard who creates for others, defends well, and creates extra possessions. She can make things happen.

[player_tooltip player_id='842243' first='Hanna' last='Bultman']

The 6'0 forward from St. Thomas More is a kid I raved about all season over the winter, and that's not stopping now. Bultman did an excellent job finishing around the rim, but she showed some skills. She went coast to coast, made a few moves around the basket, and was one of the better kids in the gym that people don't know about. The 2026 also passes the eye test of what you look for in a post-player. Butlman is a physical kid who doesn't mind the contact when playing around the basket. That's something she seems to love about basketball.

Mylee Stiefel

Every time I see Stiefel play, she plays well. At some point, that's not considered a coincidence. She sees the floor well, can make shots in bunches, and she's quick. At Team Iowa, she's developed nicely over the past few years, and any regional program looking for a guard who can create, score, and initiate offense should find time to look at Stiefel. She's a kid who could step into a role early and help a team win some games.
