April Showers–Factory Forward on Fire

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The nightcap game of my April Showers coverage Saturday between [program_tooltip program_id='712507' first='Factory' last='Basketball'] and Mystics Black was a very entertaining matchup. Both teams had several prospects who had moments when they showed their recruitable qualities. One of her highlight reel plays happened when she beat a defender using a crossover dribble and scored a fake-pass layup. Alina buried a long jumper off the dribble and got the edge again to score a full-speed layup with her left. She has a soft touch around the rim and keeps her balance by playing off two feet. Spencer has good hands, catching a pass and scoring multiple layups off two with a quick transfer. She cut hard backdoor to the basket, finishing multiple layups with speed and control at the rim. She snagged a defensive rebound, pushed the ball with both hands in transition, used a crossover, and scored an and-one layup off the glass using a high-rip move. Mady pinned defenders in the low post with strong seals and either scored off the glass or caused fouls--she knocked down four straight free throws. Mady closed out hard to block a perimeter shot and scored offensive rebound putbacks. Mady snagged a pass and finished another impressive and-one layup with her left off two feet. She created space to pass, shoot, and drive with double crossovers, jabs, and hesitation moves. Reagan handles the ball confidently and throws strong accurate passes with both hands. She secured an offensive rebound and used excellent pivoting footwork to create an angle to score off two feet. Allie has an accurate shot from beyond the arc--she drained a straightaway triple and another with balance from the wing. Allie makes quick passes to teammates and doesn't force the issue. She actively communicates on defense and has a long, athletic profile. She was active in every phase. Giselle crashed hard to secure rebounds and swiped the ball away to score a fastbreak layup in top gear. She shot with accuracy beyond the arc, swishing a corner 3 and a wing 3 from way downtown. Giselle showed her mental toughness and poise by not reacting to a clear bad call.
