Heart of Texas Saturday Hoopers

Listed below are 5 players that caught my attention for several different reasons. I focused on Oklahoma players and the teams they played. The combo guard was always moving on offense either relocating to open up a gap or cutting to the goal looking for the back door cut. Knocked down the outside jumper which opened the driving lanes. Flashed a nice crossover at top of key for the finished layup. Lydia has the capabilities and skill set to just such a thing. Started off with tough hard nose drives that drew contact to get herself going with some made free throws. Once in the groove she connected on some 3 pointers to continue the run. Outstanding defender that jumped the passing lanes several times for points off turnovers. Great offensive rebounder that did a great job of reading the rebound on long shots and able to clean them up for putbacks. A outside shooting threat from deep that has hands ready, and feet set for the knockdown 3. Strong drives to the rim when ran off the line finishing through the contact for the bucket. Consistently moving without the ball filling the gaps looking for the scoring opportunity. Competitive on the defense end that does not mind getting in the mix for rebounds or loose balls. Good footwork on the catch and shoot needing little time with a quick release to get the shot off. Gets out on the fast break filling the lanes or spotting up in the corner for a transition 3-pointer.
