She plays smooth and with a ton of confidence on the offesive end. She has the ball handles to get her team through full court pressure as well as into offensive sets. Gia makes great decisions, getting the ball to teammates or finding her own shot. She can score by getting to the paint, hitting mid-range jumpers and she has three point range. On the defensive end, Genovese can get in a stance and play dribblers full court. She is also quick enough to close out to shooters on the wing and get all the way into help side. She is fast, strong and smart on the court, an exciting combo for the Hardwood PG. On defense she is in your face. She uses her quickness to pressure dribblers all over the floor. She is a menace guarding on the wing and not afraid to get in the paint and mix it up with the taller post players for a rebound or loose ball. On offense, her constant movement is a problem for defenses. Whether slashing through the defense or coming off screens for buckets, she is always looking to score. Gabby can definitely score. She is great with the ball in her hands, getting all the way to the baseket, or hitting jumpers. She also has range behind the 3pt line. She can also score on taller post player match ups with pull up jumpers and quick catch and shoot 3s, she is a multi-level scorer for Colorado CREW. On defesne she can get stops no matter the matchup. She has the length and quickness to contain shorter wing players in both the full and half court. She uses her strength just as well on defense against taller post players, battling to keep paint players out of their comfort zones. Listed at just 5'4", Smith is tough and gets to the bucket for 2pts and the extra at the free throw line. Smith's jumper is consistent from every where on the floor, she can hit the 2pt jumper and 3pt with ease. On defense, SoSo is a leader of the high pressure style from this team. She is quick and can pressure offensive players into traps and turnovers throughout the game. Look for Smith to be in the paint battling with taller post players for sneaky steals and rebounds. She carries all of that over to the defensive end. She uses her quickness to pressure dribblers all over the court. She is in the passing lanes and even in the paint to take a charges or grab a rebound from the taller post players.
