New Additions is usually a topic we see a lot during months that have Player Rankings Update but there are times throughout the calendar year where we need to go in and add prospects that we might not know too much about just yet. In this piece we have added five new players to our PGH Nebraska system out of the 2028 Class. Each of these prospects will compete at the Varsity level this upcoming Winter for their programs, along with The [program_tooltip program_id='712711' first='Nebraska' last='Lasers'] 16U AAU program this Spring/Summer on the road.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237642' first='Loryn' last='Piening'] of Norris High School is the definition of a multi-sport athlete and when you combined that along with her size at 6'0 already, you start to wonder what sport she is going to go to college for. I think that Piening is a dominating force on the Volleyball court from the looks of it so she might have a choice to make at the end of the day but that's not right now. Right now she just needs to get onto the road this AAU season to do some work. We don't see many that can navigate like Piening can with her physical mixture on the hardwood. I'll be very curious to see how she does with some competition this Spring/Summer. If she can get the ball in favorable positions within her team's system, I think there will be a lot of coaches interested in Piening looking toward the future.

If you leave [player_tooltip player_id='1237649' first='Anndyn' last='Borrenpohl'] open at the three point line with any amount of time for her to set up her shot, it's most likely going to go in. Borrenpohl was only a freshman on the court this past Winter but she surely didn't play like it. She was someone for her Beatrice group that lit the nets on fire all season long with her catch-and-shoot ability. She does do some other positive things like handle, rebound, and defend but she is going to make her money during her basketball career while shooting it if this last 6 months is any indication. This [program_tooltip program_id='712711' first='Nebraska' last='Lasers'] 15U team has some nice prospects at every position, along with some taller Forwards. When team's overplay those prospects in the post, it's going to be a field day for Borrenpohl from long range. No doubt about it in my mind.

For her freshman campaign [player_tooltip player_id='1237645' first='Tatum' last='McIntire'] didn't put up the biggest numbers for her Varsity team at Waverly but she did make an impact in each contest at the PG position with her control and pace of play. At times McIntire would come down the court and run her team's offense to a T. At other times she would get the rebound in transition, pushing the ball for a take all the way herself or into the middle of the defense for a thorough assist. I'm not sure how McIntire will fit within this team but she has all the potential to make some waves.

[player_tooltip player_id='1226039' first='Alexis' last='Gutknecht'] of Lincoln SW High School is sneaky athletic for her guard position. The more that I watch Gutknecht, the more I think she can compete at the next level one day. This is someone that only stands at 5'7 but she plays like she is 6'0. With her length she can stick with smaller guards or she can wall up against someone that might be bigger near the bucket. Offensively, Gutknecht can spread the floor and score at all three levels when the opportunities presents themselves. This is a great pickup for the Lasers. I see where the promise is and that promise is only going to grow with time/experience.
