PGH Victory Region Kickoff: Top 13U Talent To Track Over Summer

The Romeoville location had some talent at every level, but the 13U players had a couple of games that had the gym packed out. The energy and skill were high, and it was clear these young players were putting on a show. Below are some names that should be on scouts and coaches radars.    Addison has a mature type of game that allows her to be effective from all areas on the court. Her length matches well with her skillset, and she's able to utilize it on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she can get it going from all levels and never gets rattled with pressure. Defensively, her length and patience are her major keys. Such a bright future.     Baker was one of the best players in her division all weekend, and to know that she's only been playing for the past couple of years can only point to her upside being major. The first thing that jumps out at you is her athleticism, and after that it's the poise she has on the court. Not once did I witness her being frustrated. She has a tremendous amount of confidence offensively, she can get to the rim with only a couple moves, she can knock down the long ball, and on the defensive side her length and foot speed usually helps her win her matchup. High potential.     Joy has an argument already for the best player in the class of 2030, and if you watch her for an entire game it's not hard to understand why. Outside of her ability to score whenever, her control and understanding of pace, speed, and patience of this game is way beyond her years and it's amazing to watch. She had multiple moments this weekend where you have to question if she's actually only a 7th grader. If you're a college coach or a national scout, this kid needs to be on your radar. Tremendous potential and upside.     Look past the height, Venson is TALENTED. The handle, the speed, the IQ, and the ability to switch in and out of scoring aggression to playmaking aggression is fun to watch. Deziah was a major piece to the success that her program had this weekend, and you can just tell that she's only getting better. An interesting prospect to follow over the next couple of years.     Manzke is able to run the point guard position due to her strong handles. With both hands she shows confidence and control. She had some moments in the game I watched of her where you can see she's ahead of her time in certain aspects. The Dream is full of talented young players and Manzke is in that top pool. Keep an eye on her as the summer progresses.     Flisak was a key piece in her team's big win against The Dream, and she even started off the game with two big threes that put immediate pressure on her matchup. She moves well with the ball, and even had some other moments from a playmaking standpoint that show she could be a legit combo guard going forward for this program.
