Regardless of division in the entire event, Mikayla was arguably one the best overall players present. Listed as a 2028, Mikayla played up in the 16u division and made her case that she could dominate older players easily. Equipped with an advanced skill set, Mikayla does just about anything she wants offensively. Using her strong frame she can handle pressure without getting bumped off her scoring paths. Garcia also is a solid shooter using good form when she shoots from mid range or three. Her feel for the game is pure and she also possesses a competitive spirit which allows her to rebound and control 50-50 balls. She picks her spots and knows when to facilitate and when to initiate her own offense. Mikayla led her team in just about every statistical category. Garcia is clearly one of the best prospects in the state!

The [program_tooltip program_id='715312' first='Houston' last='Lady Nets'] 16u were one of the few teams that went undefeated at the Space City Slam and Fayrouz was a major reason why! Tahir is a smooth combo guard that uses her high basketball IQ and savvy skillset to pick defenders apart. Her understanding of how to play in pick and roll situations is phenomenal. If a defender goes under screens she will drill a three with ease. When help defenders help up the floor she delivers smooth pocket passes to available teammates. If Tahir is able to add more speed and lateral quickness she will be a much sought after prospect!

Chloe led her team to an impressive 4-0 record on the weekend and had many shining moments! Diaz stays even keel throughout games and is the consummate team player. Don't get it twisted though, Diaz plays with force and power and can impact the game on both sides of the floor. For her Hornets team she causes havoc defensively with their methodical full court press that absolutely terrorized opponents. Diaz is multi dimensional and is a double-double threat anytime she stepped on the floor. I'm excited to see if she can continue to lead her team as they continue to play top notch competition.

Tylah made her presence known in Texas as she led her team to a 4-0 record! Saucer is a isolation nightmare for defenders as she uses her athleticism and handle to ease past them. In the paint she finishes using either hand and can absorb contact. Her understanding of the game is superior at her age as she can make passes off the bounce to teammates for easy lay ins. On defense she uses her length and smarts to get steals and deflections. One of the most exciting players to watch at the Space City Slam.

There is alot to love about Khloe's game for sure. She has legit guard/wing size as a 2027 prospect. What stuck out early was the way she communicates on defense and takes pride in her guarding match-ups. Offensively, she can shoot the ball well, but does a great job attacking the paint and earning trips to the free throw line. She plays on a very talented [program_tooltip program_id='712416' first='BDA' last=''] team so she's not relied on to score at high clips, but she is very capable of taking over a game when needed. Yarbrough will be a player that college coaches put on their radar if she continues to excel.

Saniau was impressive all weekend long as she averaged 14.5 points per game. She is full of energy and rarely showed any signs of fatigue as she led the defensive charge for her Hoops Dream Elite 16u squad. Ratcliff is an athletic scoring guard, who also connected on at least two made 3's each game she played, while nailing four 3's in her 8am game on Sunday. What blows my mind is that Saniau had this type of production as a SEVENTH grader playing in the 16u division. We will monitor her progression closely in the upcoming years as she holds the potential to be high level prospect!

Kayleah isn't called upon to carry the scoring load on her well balanced Prime Tyme 2027 squad, but she definitely is the glue that helped keep the team winning. A super strong power forward, Kayleah was one of the leading rebounders in the 16u division and also finished around the rim efficiently. She possesses next level strength making her a consistent double-double threat.
