Ratcliff, yes, they are twins, has also been evaluated by @playerrimedies and me a few times. See the evaluations here. To be honest with you, her game mirrors that of her sisters in so many ways. Saniau continues to show that she can “catch and shoot” with a hand in her face, and seeing her “poise under pressure” at this stage speaks volumes about what’s to come. Her spin move is also going to be hard to handle because she does it instinctively while staying under control

Ratcliff, yes, they’re twins, also impressed @playerrimedies before I saw them, see evaluations here, and seeing her explode by defenders in transition with the ball and staying under control is going to be a problem to deal with in high school, but so is her reading the floor and coming from out of nowhere to play the passing lane. I also enjoyed seeing her spin off the dribble to score, she does it smoothly and instinctively

Ratcliff was exciting and entertaining, so watching her make “major moves” since the last time I saw her spells trouble for defenders. Her growth, both on and off the court, got me going, so did her spin move and diving on the floor for loose balls, yet her “on the ball” pressure was smothering at times, her first step left older players cemented to the court, and she dropped the jumper, “catch and shoot” looked good as well

Only a rising 8th grader, Ratcliff’s bread and butter is spotting up in the corners for threes, stretching the defense with her range. When defenders close out, she counters with a smooth floater at the rim, keeping them guessing on every touch.

Saniau was impressive all weekend long as she averaged 14.5 points per game. She is full of energy and rarely showed any signs of fatigue as she led the defensive charge for her Hoops Dream Elite 16u squad. Ratcliff is an athletic scoring guard, who also connected on at least two made 3’s each game she played, while nailing four 3’s in her 8am game on Sunday. What blows my mind is that Saniau had this type of production as a SEVENTH grader playing in the 16u division. We will monitor her progression closely in the upcoming years as she holds the potential to be high level prospect!

I don’t think it matters the time, day, or place, Saniau stays in take over mode 24/7/365! Saniau takes over games with her scoring, play making, and precise defense. In her Sunday 8am game she capped her weekend off with a an efficient 18 point performance leading her team to a 53-25 victory. She led her Hoop Dreams Elite 16u team all weekend leaving opponents with nightmares!

Amiau must have gotten a great night sleep because she treated her 8am game like it was a 7pm prime time game. Amiau drained early 3’s in the 1st half. Far from just a shooter she used euro steps when attacking the paint. Ratcliff also led the pressing charge for her squad defensively. Let’s see if she can keep the same energy for the entire weekend!

Ratcliff boasts an effortless high arching shot from beyond the arc. It’s nice to see a junior high player using her legs and shooting the ball with east instead of pushing the ball up from her waist. Another concept Ratcliff has figured out early is moving without the ball. She seems to understand spacing and is a consistent spot up shooter.
