Garth opened up the Space City Slam, dropping it from another galaxy, so I had to pull her aside to get her name, and that's something I rarely do. She's an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends, quick hands got her some steals, on the ball pressure helped force turnovers, but her scoring off the dribble, pull-up jumper, and ability to drop the 3 ball, like she did a the halftime buzzer, was all I needed and some

Sampson is "long and athletic" which is the base, and she gave me a multitude of things to absorb because she understands how to create her shot while being pressured, she elevates on her jumper, and her release is quick and that combinations means "you ain't gonna block it" so seeing her let it go from different time zones was nice especially when they were dropping but she also showed she could "catch and shoot" as well as score off the dribble

Rodriguez took me back to when I first saw her mental toughness as a 4th grader getting beat up on the court by older players and still managing to go off, and I used the "Izzy will be making 'em DIZZY". Steadily, she paid her dues, and it has clicked as she's realizing how good she is, so her court vision and ball handling under pressure, scoring off the dribble as well as dropping the jumper, are making her hard to handle. The slight HEZ looks good, so does the crossover, so remember I said DIZZY 5 years ago

Edgerson is from where my folks are from, so I always enjoy watching teams from areas that take me back to my childhood. Even better, her setting the defender up using a deceptive first step was nice, to score off the dribble was nice, then she showed the turbo and blew by them to finish. Her pull-up jumper was solid, she dropped it with a hand in her face, but peep this, she gave 'em the fadeaway jumper to "drop the mic". On top of all that, her "on the ball" defense was also good

Jefferson is a couple of shades shy of that coveted magic number, and she's "long and athletic" which will always be the base. After watching her attack and spin off the dribble to score, I immediately thought, "Don't get shook by Brook." Her pull-up jumper looked good, she rebounded on both ends, and her defense was solid both in and outside the paint. I also need to mention two other things: her court vision was solid, and she played the passing lane
