Top Players Shine at Western PA Bruins Tip-Off

I am coming to you live from Pittsburgh, PA, where the Western PA Bruins Tip-Off is held each and every season. This has got to be one of the best pre-live events in the country! It's where ball clubs who want to get their girls ready for the 1st live events go. Let me tell you this,&nbsp; you can't dodge the smoke at an event such as this. There is so much talent in the building, it's crazy.&nbsp; No joke.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We had a lot of Tennessee girls descend on the Steel City to get themselves ready for action for next week. The place was packed! Ball clubs were ready and hyped. The action was truly top-notch. She brought the physicality early and often as different ball clubs from around the country challenged her squad. She finished around the rim, hitting teams with a deadly drop step. Poured it in from the field consistently. Add in her ability to lock up on the defensive end, she proved to me even more why she is going to Clemson and how they got a steal. Another Miss Tennessee Basketball winner who was up here giving people the business. She was killing folks off the dribble, knocking down shots from the field, getting to the rim, and making timely passes. Her presence on the floor is so valuable, you just can't put into words how much she means to a team when she is on it. Watching her move and how she went about her business, you could tell this young lady is playing with such confidence. She would put the ball on the floor to go get a lay, knock it down from the arc, and was really out there playing with poise. My take right now on her game is that she is about to have a breakthrough year. Father Ryan may be getting a whole new product when HS ball rolls back around. She played at a great pace and was able to knock down some shots from the field, but she also made timely passes to hit her teammates in stride for easy layups. Her ability to control the game and exploit defenses is why she is one of the top kids in her class. She played with great energy and got after it in every game. Look for her to take these challenges and come back to Ensworth ready to take them to the next level. Jayda is a rebounding machine who is always in the right spot at the right time. Let me throw that out there, she's big on the boards on both ends. Offensively, she is great working block to block and the elbow areas. Defensively, she owns the paint and is physical with the opposition.
