could eventually become one of the best point guards in the 2029 class and a major name in the Penn girls basketball program.
Sanderson brings strong leadership qualities to the floor and already understands how to control the tempo of a game. She excels as a playmaker, consistently finding teammates in scoring positions while also being capable of creating offense for herself.
Her basketball IQ and court vision stand out at a young age, and she competes with toughness defensively at the guard position. With her ability to lead and impact winning, Sanderson is already viewed by many as an early name to watch in future 2029 Indiana Miss Basketball conversations.

Jillian Sanders is an impressive point guard who made tremendous strides this past season for Penn. She showcased her ability to lead, score, and create opportunities for her teammates while continuing to establish herself as one of the top young guards in Indiana’s 2029 class.
This season, Sanders averaged 14.4 points per game along with 3.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds, proving she can impact the game in multiple areas. Her combination of size, skill, and scoring ability allows her to effectively control the pace of the game while also creating offensive production for herself and others.
Before arriving at Penn, Sanders already had valuable varsity experience, playing varsity basketball as an eighth grader in the state of Tennessee. That early experience competing at a high level has helped accelerate her development and confidence on the court.
With her continued growth and strong overall game, Sanders appears to be a player who should begin receiving scholarship offers in the near future.

This young PG was doing her thing as she suited up for the West Virginia Thunder squad. She played at a great pace and was able to knock down some shots from the field, but she also made timely passes to hit her teammates in stride for easy layups. Her ability to control the game and exploit defenses is why she is one of the top kids in her class. She played with great energy and got after it in every game. Look for her to take these challenges and come back to Ensworth ready to take them to the next level. Solid kid who is on the upswing.

This girl will be an absolute dawg when it is all said and done. She is a multi-level scoring threat that competes at both ends of the floor. She thinks the game of basketball. Has a great feel for the game. Tight handles. She knows how to exploit a defense and finish at the bottom of the net. Court savvy, she isn’t afraid to thread the needle to get it to her teammates. She is a gym rat with a tremendous work ethic, always working on her game. She’s getting varsity minutes now, but look for her to expand her role and grow into something special that will be impacting the Lady Tigers program for years to come.
