Two weeks ago the AAU season opened with warmup events at the Saturday Shootout and the Battle for Mom. Last weekend most of the big clubs were in action at the Midwest Kickoff. Now comes the first NCAA Division 1 live evaluation period of the year as the 2025 season truly gets down to business.

Minnesota's top teams are fanning out across the country for the big AAU circuit events. These tournaments offer an excellent opportunity for scholarship-level candidates to make a good first impression for 2025 that builds on their body of work to date. While we'll be covering the home front at the Spring Showdown in Bloomington, these five unsigned seniors will be doing their best to get seen on the road. Scholarship-level coaches will want to have a look.

Big forwards are hard to find, particularly among Minnesota's incoming seniors. At #13 in the class, the 6'1 post from St. Croix Lutheran (pictured above) is the highest-rated traditional forward who has yet to make a college commitment. Callie is coming off a dominant high school season in which she averaged 19 points and a remarkable 16 rebounds per game. Callie has a big body and plenty of strength. She's also mobile and doesn't lack for skill. She can pound the ball in down low to score and she can step back out to the arc and make sweet jumpers. She has put in the work to master the old-school low-post game on both sides of the ball but has the versatility and mobility to excel in the modern game. Have a look at Spooky Nook.

We suspect the 5'10 guard from Byron is heading into the weekend with eyes wide open. Making her debut on the Nike EYBL Circuit at the Boo Williams Invitational, Ohm is about to face the biggest, strongest, fastest players she's seen to date. Talk about baptism by fire! Once she adapts to the pace and physicality of EYBL, we suspect the top-20 incoming senior is going to do just fine thank you. Madison is a talented athlete with speed, quickness and an elite level of energy. She thinks the game at a high level and always brings the heat. Madison averaged 18 points per game for a 25-4 team in Class 3A. Points will be harder to come by in Hampton but Ohm is only going to get better as the AAU season progresses.

College coaches have been coming to watch the [program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns']' premiere squad for years to see [player_tooltip player_id='205310' first='Tori' last='Oehrlein'] do her thing. Now that Tori has made her college commitment, scouts need to keep coming to learn what Carlson is all about. We've been telling you about the 5'9 guard from Proctor for years, but higher-level college coaches are just starting to understand Carlson's potential. Ranked 23rd in the Class, Carlson has a wide range of skills and can impact a game in a plethora of different ways. Her motor is exceptional. Her on-court demeanor is outstanding. Her desire to win and energy level is elite. And her love of the game is unquestioned. Chloe averaged 18 ppg this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='478365' first='Audrey' last='Schmidtke'] – [program_tooltip program_id='712665' first='Metro' last='Stars'] 3SSB in Rock Hill, SC

The 5'11 guard from Lakeville South is one of the most hard-nosed competitors in the class, the type of in-your-face defender who makes life difficult for opposing ball handlers and forces turnovers at an impressive clip. We love Audrey's never-say-die approach to the game, a fierce demeanor that enables her to be successful against players of all sizes and abilities. With excellent court vision and passing ability, Audrey has a knack for finding teammates in the right place at the right time. She can also finish at the rim herself. Nobody plays harder than Schmidtke, the 30th-ranked prospect among the 2026s. Adidas Circuit observers need to take note.

[player_tooltip player_id='567377' first='Sadie' last='Hall'] – [program_tooltip program_id='714566' first='Minnesota' last='Stars'] 3SSB in Rock Hill, SC

The 5'9 guard from Shakopee will also be in South Carolina at the Adidas Circuit event. Ranked #31 in the Class of 2026, Hall is coming off an excellent season during which she averaged 17 points per game on a rebuilding squad, a track record that included a 34-point outburst against Edina. But scoring stats do not define what Sadie can bring to the table. The versatile competitor is an excellent athlete who moves very well with or without the basketball. She has a nice set of handles and a good feel for the game. Her footwork is solid and she can beat you off the dribble, with a sweet step-back jump shot or making threes from the corner. Hall will be raising her profile in Rock Hill.
