I don't know how this happened this quickly, but we're already to mid-May and the second "live" period of the Spring. That means more big events, more college coaches, and more intense play. I headed to "The Classic", an annual Ohio Basketball tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. Despite the severe weather in the area all evening, there were no stoppages inside, as a number of Indiana programs were in action on the 40 courts being utilized. Below is a look at a half dozen wing prospects who stood out in the action I was able to see.

[player_tooltip player_id='832676' first='Audrey' last='Barron'], 2026, 5-8 W, Shawe Memorial H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='714250' first='Indiana' last='Pride'] Attack 17U
- Audrey is a kid making her first significant grassroots appearance this Spring, as she has dealt with her share of injuries in the past. Hopefully with all of that behind her, she has shown a really nice small college game. She has some strength to her frame, a nice basketball savvy, and she is an excellent shooter/scorer from all three levels. She has a real craftiness to her game, and she's almost an "old school" type of scorer who can get it done in a variety of ways, plus she plays hard.

[player_tooltip player_id='874339' first='Olivya' last='Hile'], 2026, 5-11 W/F, Evansville Central H.S., DistinXion Champions Gold 17U
- Olivya is a nice, long, wiry, and fluidly athletic wing forward. Each year she has looked a little stronger, a little more physical, and a lot more aggressive as a scorer. She has touch outside and can act as a really nice shooter, but she's starting to put it on the floor better and attack the basket more often. At the small college level, she has the height and versatility to be a nice multilevel scorer, and with a little more consistency/urgency defensively, I think she'll have plenty of interested schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='772792' first='Aubri' last='Ingram'], 2026, 5-8 G/W, Ben Davis H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='712574' first='Indy' last='Magic']-Scott 17U
- Aubri has a great deal of talent & potential, and she strikes me as a kid who could continue to improve in college and potentially have a better collegiate career than high school career, even though she is one of the best players for the Giants. Aubri has a strong, athletic frame, some length, and she has some speed with a little bounce in her as well. She is a playmaker off the dribble, and she can score it at the basket or find open teammates. She's also a versatile, hard-working defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='732354' first='Vanessa' last='Rosswurm'], 2026, 5-10 W, Norwell H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100'] Grind 17U
- Vanessa is a talented, hard-working wing who has absolutely blown up over the past 12 months. Last Spring & Summer, she drew a lot of interest from some quality small college programs. Over the Winter, with improved shooting and all-around perimeter skill, she drew the attention of the most elite small college programs. And following April's "live" period, she picked up multiple D1 offers. She might be the hardest worker in the 2026 class, she is constantly in motion, and she's an elite defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='883650' first='Ava' last='Mount'], 2028, 5-7 W, Lebanon H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='1002317' first='Indiana' last='Showcase Red'] 15U
- Ava is an intriguing young wing who saw a little action for the Lady Tigers over the Winter. She has a fairly athletic frame and runs the floor well North/South. She works hard and is an aggressive driver offensively, but Friday she showed the ability to knock down a couple of perimeter jumpers as well when in rhythm. Defensively, she plays with effort and is a willing rebounder, plus she doesn't mind contact. Continuing to make her handle more dynamic will certainly help her future recruiting.

Journie Johnson, 2030, 5-8 W, Northwestern H.S., [program_tooltip program_id='712570' first='Indiana's' last='Best']-Sullivan 15U
- Journie has been seen in both the 15U and 16U divisions this Spring, playing "up" two to three age groups. She has not once stood out in a negative way, and a few times has looked like the best prospect on the floor. Friday, she showed her maturity, as there were stretches where she took over offensively and was constantly on attack. She likes the right wing, where she can attack the baseline and overpower defenders to score at the rim. She does have some touch, and she plays with a motor.
