TN Girls Shine at EYBL/ Clash of the Clubs in Houston

Today, some young ladies from the state of Tennessee descended down to Houston, TX to compete in the EYBL circuit and Clash of the Clubs. I would like to say we brought the heat because a lot of teams kind of slept on some of our kids. The temperature outside was hot, but our girls from the Volunteer State were bringing the heat by scorching the nets. This kid is running the show out there and doing so with so much intention. She controls the pace out there and can attack downhill or feed the hot hand. She looked solid in her outing as she facilitated the rock with ease as her club battled. Though her team dropped the first matchup, she came out and showcased her skillset. A shifty guard who can fill it up from all 3 levels. Her game from the arc has gotten better, but when she is attacking, good luck on slowing her down. She has amazing court vision that enables her to hit the hot hand. She plays solid defense, getting steals and deflections that lead to turnover opportunities. Her energy is infectious, and she is making a lot of noise down here in Texas. Look for her to continue on this trajectory and catch the eyes of some collegiate coaches. She was a nuisance on the floor as she was playing solid defense against her opponent's best girl. She isn't afraid to pick up 95 feet, as she was locked in right from the start. This kid can score it, too, but what was really impressive was her ability to facilitate the basketball. She was creative handling the rock, playing with poise as pressure presented itself. Geez, she was letting it fly from deep. She didn't hesitate to shoot the ball from the arc and did so at a high clip. This kid brought it on the first day, and you could tell she was ready to put on a show based on how confident she was playing. She is a solid ballplayer who gets after it on both ends of the floor. It definitely shows, as she was probably the most athletic kid on the floor. She just causes problems, and her speed is one of the attributes that sets her apart from others. All the attention seems to shift onto her when she is on the court, as good things tend to happen. She is a downhill threat that can score the basketball, but also contributes big-time on the defensive end. Look for her to jump onto even more coaches' radars after this weekend.<br><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
