The AAU season thus far has garnered the attention of coaches at the next level and from every level of college basketball. Today, I'd like to highlight a few players who've played well this spring and discuss what has made them productive for their respective programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1227459' first='Savanna' last='Miller']

The Port Washington wing hasn't shown what she can be at the high school level because they haven't had the talent in the backcourt to create chances for her. However, Miller has excelled in the AAU season with [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact']. Miller is a talented spot shooter, and the way Impact plays leads to the Port Washington native earning chances to get open looks at the basket, and she's made them. The Pirate has impressed all spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='624965' first='Claudia' last='Asman']

The Kimberly wing hasn't earned many minutes in the Papermakers rotation because there is an absurd amount of talent in their ranks. However, Asman has played her best basketball this spring with her Let it Rain group. Her length has helped her defend around the basket and contest shots on the perimeter. Asman has always been a threat to knock down perimeter jumpers, and she's shot the ball well this spring. The Papermaker will earn multiple opportunities to play at the next level before the AAU season is over.

[player_tooltip player_id='914910' first='Addison' last='Schmidt']

The state may not have a more active frontcourt piece than [player_tooltip player_id='914910' first='Addison' last='Schmidt']. The 6'1 Rice Lake native has been an excellent rebounder and has dominated the area around the basket since she walked into the Warriors program a few seasons ago. Schmidt is a double-double threat whenever she steps on the floor and is a difference-maker anytime she's on the floor. She has improved her finishing over the past few seasons and will continue to improve throughout her college career. I've become more of a fan of hers the more I've seen her and heard how highly her coaches speak of her.

[player_tooltip player_id='1219523' first='Avery' last='Richard']

The Platteville guard is a kid I've discussed ad nauseam over the past few months. She may not be an elite perimeter shooter, but she does everything else well. Richard had an excellent season at Platteville last winter and has done well with her Team Compete group this spring. The Platteville native finds ways to get the best out of the people around her, and that's the kind of player you'd want to have in a program at the next level.
