If you told me that [player_tooltip player_id='1217346' first='Gwen' last='Grimm'] was going to put up some eye-catching numbers this Winter at Clear Lake, I wouldn't doubt you. Grimm comes in at 6'0 with some power to pair along with that height. She can force herself in the middle with physicality or she can use her length to simply go over someone smaller that might be defending her near the bucket. Opposing teams are going to have to account and scout for Grimm this Winter during her Freshman campaign. If not, she will average a double-double in points-rebounds by halftime for a majority of the year. There are a lot of hoopers with great size in this 2029 Class to kick things off and Grimm is in that discussion.

There is going to be a new dynamic duo in the state of Iowa this Winter and that is going to belong to Ottumwa High School. Ottumwa will have [player_tooltip player_id='1170537' first='Blake' last='Goldsmith'] coming in as a 5'11 PF and [player_tooltip player_id='1169794' first='Emma' last='Ryder'] coming in between 6'1/6'2. When you pair those two together and understand who they are going to play during their regular season schedule, you KNOW they are both going to put up noteworthy numbers over the next 8 months. Goldsmith is a coordinated and strategic hooper. She is still raw in her ability, much like Ryder, but those two with their size should be unstoppable together as long as they are used in the correct ways over the next four years.

I could be seeing this situation wrong from the outside but I like that [player_tooltip player_id='884400' first='Aubrey' last='Meyer'] might be someone that competes in split minutes this Winter at the JV and Varsity levels. Meyer has been doing a respectable job competing this Spring with her Missouri Phenom team. She is using her size to her natural advantage, she is playing the game the right way, and at times she is pulling out some really seasoned moves on both ends of the floor. She is pretty versatile with her size at this age but I do think she will lock into the 3/4 spot at the Varsity level. It just depends who she can guard. If it's a mixture, then I'm sure she will be all over the floor the next four years in one way or another for the Lightning.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201512' first='Nikki' last='Muller'] is going to be 6'0 by the time that she comes to Dowling Catholic this Fall for her Freshman year. Muller, little sister of Katie and Ellie, has a chance to be the best out of all three of the sister at the end of the day and that says a lot considering both of her older sisters are future D1 commits. I would say that Muller is more of a SF than a CG but she is playing the 3 right now for skill building purposes, which makes sense. If everything goes to plan, Nikki should end between 6'1-6'4 in height and she could be a monster. She just needs to keep working on her weaknesses per usual.

I am well aware of the Goodheart family and the type of ballers that come from that group. Which makes me interested in seeing how [player_tooltip player_id='1255631' first='Emerson' last='Goodheart'] does as a Freshman at IC - Liberty this Winter. Goodheart has better than average size for her age right around 5'10. As long as her skill set follows that, she is going to be just fine if she wants to play at the next level at the end of her high school career. That time might seem far away but it'll be here before you know it. EG comes from a group that doesn't shy away from hard work. As long as she follows that blueprint, she should continue to get better over-time and become a viable option at the Varsity level sooner rather than later.
