The Baden Summer Showcase took place this past weekend, bringing 32 varsity teams to Liberty and Issaquah High School for live period viewing. Some of the top teams from across the state participated, as well as two teams from Oregon. I'll be covering over 75 athletes from the event, starting with these senior forward standouts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1138305' first='Makenna' last='Te'o'] | 5'8 | SF | Juanita

Strong slashing wing who was effective with both perimeter and low-post catches. Was really effective making plays around the rim, converting a high percentage in the paint, while also showcasing some good play attacking angles and taking defenders off the dribble from the perimeter. Has a pretty good jumper too, and was a tough matchup with her skill and strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='586267' first='Riley' last='Burns'] | 5'9 | SF | Kennedy

Strong wing who plays physical and aggressive on both ends. Had several nice drives down the left side set up by strong rip-throughs and can really open up gaps with her physicality and ability to get slight angles on defenders. Did well to play up in passing lanes and push her matchup away from the hoop.

[player_tooltip player_id='999662' first='Clara' last='Gibbons'] | 6'1 | PF | Issaquah

Had a huge effect on their offense's ability to get paint touches and play inside-out. Not only did she provide the size to play around the rim and give a good target on high post catches, but she put pressure on the interior by taking her defender off the bounce from post-ups and knocking down some short jumpers. She also showed up defensively as a key rim defender who could extend out and even blocked a long jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='1260998' first='Tezi' last='Lyons'] | 6'0 | PF | Sammamish

Huge force down low, her combo of strength and persistence around the rim made her one of the top rebounders and interior finishers at the event. Just attacked the ball every time it came off the rim, showed she can go through defenders and contact, or work around them with some touch in close, and was great at relocating to space off teammates' drives.

Elletra Primavera | 5'11 | SF | Sammamish

Pretty versatile player who did a bit of everything. Had the size to play in the paint with some finishing moves and pulling down boards but was also a reliable playmaker who initiated some good offense, made a few great passes up in transition, and had the length and engine to make some big defensive plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='898163' first='Lauryn' last='Keilman'] | 6'1 | PF | Bellevue

Keilman did a great job defending the paint in various situations, denying entry passes to the high post and making good hard shows on ball screens, then recovering to guard the roll inside. Had some great follows for second chance points at the rim and played through some contact to draw fouls and cash in at the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1226300' first='Adalynn' last='Busch'] | 6'1 | PF | Tahoma

Was a key factor around the paint in several ways, working the glass on both ends, showing some mobility as the help defender on drives, and making a pretty big impact offensively. She looked pretty athletic and mobile attacking from different spots, was patient to use pivot after pivot to find openings for shots inside, and showed good feet and balance on some drives near the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='969090' first='Brooke' last='Campbell'] | 6'0 | PF | Blanchet

Solid post who did a nice job feeling some space from high post catches. Can hit the free throw line jumper and showed some ability to attack off the dribble, utilizing some great footwork to fake a middle spin, then get back to her left for a layup just beyond the defenders reach.

[player_tooltip player_id='753739' first='Liliana' last='Meissner'] | 6'0 | SF | Bellevue Christian

Continued to show her versatility by hitting some early shots from the perimeter, showing great activity on the glass both crashing in from outside and working for position inside, and doing some playmaking. She has great reads and reactions when the game is moving fast and it helped her make some pretty creative passes over the weekend.
