July Basketball: A Breakthrough Month for Tennessee Prospects

If you all knew me personally, you would know I am a die-hard women's basketball fan through and through. Like, I don't care what school you attend, what program you suit up for, if you hoop in this state, I am a fan of yours. I have forged many friendships just because of my respect for one's game. This game isn't easy, but those who excel at it, doors open up like no other. So when I tell you I am excited, I truly am for you from the bottom of my heart.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>July is one of those months when things can be crazy. There is an influx of emotions for one because, as a prospect, you try and do as much as you can to get noticed. Let me tell you, your time will come, and you must run your own race. I know it's not easy hearing that from anyone, but you will get your opportunity; you just need to be ready for it. This state is littered with talent, and as a prospect, you must be willing to just keep an open mind about things. You may not get that UCONN scholarship you have been dreaming of all your life. However, you can go to X university and play for free, getting a valuable education along with other things. My point is, prospect, keep grinding, doing what you do, and just run your own race. No two journeys are alike, and in due time, your number will be called. Humble yourself, as you must be ready for your opportunity when it presents itself.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>July will be a breakthrough month for a lot of girls. Not a breakout month or the bottom will fall out kind of month. No, a breakthrough month. Some may break through more than, but something good will happen coming out of this month. She is a versatile player who can play multiple positions. She can handle the ball, play inside, kill it from the arc, but also turn around and contribute on the defensive end. She has been invited to multiple camps, gotten tons of looks, and now it's her time to cash them in. This kid plays with a motor, has amazing court awareness, and is just a tough competitor all around. A tough competitor who is a gym rat. She excels at other sports as well, but her love lies on the hardwood. Blood, sweat, and tears, this young lady has been putting in that work and is ready for July to come. Schools have already been in contact with her, and there are more on the horizon. The upcoming sophomore got after it during team camps and has done her thing on the circuit. She's strong as an ox, can play the low post and high post areas, defend like crazy in the paint, grab boards, block shots, and will knock down the occasional 3. My point is, she's a solid prospect that can and will be a big-time contributor at the next level. This kid plays with a lot of heart and is willing to do whatever it takes to help her ball club win. She's talented and knows how to help shoulder the load when it comes to giving a team an edge. She is a scoring machine that can get buckets from all 3 levels. This kid plays with a lot of grit, passion and exudes a certain type of confidence that spills over onto her teammates. She has gotten better every year, and she always seems to find a way to contribute to the results of a game. A consummate hooper, she puts in the work after hours, and when it's game time, she shines. Talk about a two-way player, this kid doesn't rest at all. She's a gamechanger and really truly knows how to run a club. Look for her to not only jump on collegiate coaches' radars but also obtain even more opportunities to compete at the next level.
