When Kenneth Pannell pulls you up in front of the entire group to brag on how you warmed up, then you are doing something right. So it was no surprise to see Davis Davis 5'11" | PF Sequoyah | 2028 GA get right to work on the offensive end with inside-out dribble, crossover dribble before knocking down an 18-foot jump shot fading right. She is a very polished guard who can create her own shot without wasted dribbles or forcing it when it’s not there. She operates from a very strong fundamental base that incorporates good use of jab steps, shot fakes, and concise ball-handling combinations. Alyssa has a strong frame and used it initiate and absorb contact with the basketball. This is the second showcase in under a month where I saw Davis Davis 5'11" | PF Sequoyah | 2028 GA do the exact same thing against a high level of competition. There is a very good chance she becomes one of the proficient scorers in Tennessee the next two years.

Alyssa is an aggressive scoring guard who uses the bounce to pressure the rim and reach her preferred spots inside the arc. She showed a purposeful attack, pairing drives to the cup with a middle game that gives her an answer before reaching the interior defender. Her ability to create those opportunities is the defining part of her offensive profile. Her scoring tools currently lead her combo-guard potential. Developing the read against the second defender will allow her to turn her aggression into opportunities for teammates when help commits. Continued work on changing pace and stopping on balance will also sharpen her pull-up game. She has a clear offensive direction: attack the defense and get to a scoring area. Adding timely distribution will make those drives more difficult to defend and broaden her backcourt responsibilities.

Sat out all season, and she is ready to suit up for CA. A kid who will bring brute strength into the fold; look for her to be a dominant force inside the arc. A kid who can create off the dribble and own the mid-range; a talented kid who will be a nice addition to the Lady Dogs program.

This kid is hot, and one of her best attributes is her ability to get to the rim and give her defender a bump along the way. This kid is amazing at playing off two feet, and it was on display as she got to her spots and finished. She was hard to deal with, and she increased her stock this past weekend at The Expo. Look for her to have a breakthrough year, turning a lot of heads in the process.

I was left extremely impressed with Alyssa! She plays an old-school style of basketball with physicality. She can play bully ball and she will win. Davis is a strong player that attacks downhill great. She knows how to use her strength and finish through contact. Alyssa is automatic in the mid-range game. Defensively, she does a great job making her opponent work for every inch.

After sitting out last season, this young lady is ready to compete. A three-level scoring threat who plays with power and leverage. A kid who gets after it on both ends, she’s going to look to average a double-double in every contest. A tough matchup, she will look to be one of the top players in the district. The sky is the limit for this young lady, and she is ready to take off and battle opponents for the crown.

Multi-level scoring threat was giving opponents the business this past tournament. Showcasing her ability to create off the bounce, finish with bump fades, and dial it up from 3, she was in her bag consistently as she went to work on teams. Had a great tournament where she not only showed coaches what her game was about, but also displayed solid defense and leadership. Keep tabs on this young lady as coaches are taking notice of her game.

A hard-working individual who can score the rock in a multitude of ways. Has a quick first step and a deadly low cross that enables her to get downhill and score the basketball. She can stroke it from multiple spots on the floor, scorching the bottom of the net. Plays with a motor. Contributes on the boards and is a solid defender. One who will be looked upon to be a leader for a talented CA ball club. Look for her recruitment to increase as she is a sleeper for a school looking for a prospect in the 2028 class.

Was in stride as she showcased her ability to score the rock. From knocking down 3s on the perimeter to taking opponents off the dribble and finishing off two through them, she was in double figures multiple games as her team competed. An exciting prospect with a high ceiling; expect her recruitment to pick up as coaches look for kids in her class.

Very impressive guard-wing with good upper body strength. She used her strength to finish through contact, but also showed some nice elusiveness in getting around defenders. She played solid on ball and team defense and rebounded well. One of my favorite players to watch at this event as her motor was non-stop.
